Categories in shared calenders not working in Outlook 2011. Is there a fix / work around / 3rd party plugin for this issue.
Have several macs with Outlook 2011 on exchange 2010.
Everything else is working fine, but am unable to get categories to work in shared calenders.
In outlook for my PC i can open and view a (.pst) file but on Outlook for Mac 2011, I cannot just open a .pst file without actually importing it?
I'm looking for a solution to keep my outlook files normally found in /Users/eikkaj/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/Main Identity...etc
in a network drive. I've tried moving the entire directory starting at MS User Data or just particular files onto the network drive and then creating an alias in its place but Outlook complains and tries to rebuild the database = doesn't work. It seems
that with Thunderbird or Outlook on Windows, you can create profiles elsewhere but I don't think that's an option here? Any suggestions?
Have just upgraded from Home and student to home and business to get outlook. When I try and use contact groups the contact group button is faded out... Any thoughts how to fix...
Hi, what is the location of outlook signature files in mac ?
I currently have Windows7/Outlook 2011 in with multiple PST files (2-3 GB each, 5-6 files) and plan to import them on Outlook:Mac
Questions:
(a) For Outlook:Mac, would all these PSTs need to be imported into a single import DB ?
(b) If yes, how do I avoid mailbox size limitations on Outlook:Mac (given that Outlook:Mac does not store mails in PSTs?)
Best,
I did not use time machine and therefore have no possible rebuild possible, but every time I try to delete email messages my outlook demands a rebuild and shuts off, lately other problems have been occuring. I want to uninstall Outlook and reinstall it
but I'm afraid that my data will be destroyed (of which I have no copy and need badly).
Will uninstalling outlook and reinstalling it destroy my data or leave it alone?
and if so, how can I uninstall outlook
Shortly after installing Office 2011 for Mac, everything went pretty sour (I'm on Lion 10.7.4). Here's a roundup of the situation.
1) Lync starts, but then promptly crashes with a EXC_BAD_ACCESS. Crash log is below:

Already tried a re-install, deleting certificates, re-installing again.
2) Outlook then decided to bite the dust too. It worked twice, and then it just won't launch. The menu bar is up at the top, but no UI displays at all. Oddly enough, it works on other user accounts but I get the feeling that's a temporary thing too.
Now of course you're saying 'Well, just go use the Microsoft Database Utility and rebuild! Duh!" I could if I would, so that brings us to problem #3. (Oh, tried a re-install here too).
3) Microsoft Database Utility crashes faster than anything else I've ever seen. Quite remarkable really. Here's its crash log:

I am in need of serious help. I've ready several dozen forum posts on way too many forums, and I feel like a headless chicken.
Thank you to anyone who can help me out!

I´m having trouble with tasks not showing in Outlook. (they are visible in the web-version, but not in my client installation).
I tried to create a new identity, but that didn´t work.
Since the tasks are visible in the web-version, I´m suspecting that it is a check-box I missed somewhere so the tasks are not visible, though I´ve tried just about every different setting I found.
