I'm installing Olympus software on my laptop and as part of the installation process, it asks for my POP and SMTP which it says I can get from my e-mail provider.   I don't have a clue what these are or where to find them.  

Any help would be greatly appreciated! 
I am trying to install the skydrive sync app from http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/skydrive/download-skydrive on a new windows 8 laptop. The installation freezes while displaying the message "Preparing SkyDrive for first use." Any ideas? Toshiba satellite laptop.
Original Title: my skydrive is empty

My MacBook Air had a HW crash and was off duty for several weeks.
Now I'm reinstalling all software and after installation SkyDrive seems empty.
I know this sounds like a weird question, but is there a way to check if any file has been deleted from the logs?
I have 2 other cloud storage solutions installed and they are both almost full. I can't remember, but it seems weird that I kept SkyDrive totally empty.

I would really appreciate any help you could give me.

It receieves mail just fine. I get no error message. This is new - the program has worked fine since installation until this morning. What could cause this?

I'm using Office for Mac 2011. Outlook version is 14.0.0.
I noticed that the installation of Live Essentials 14.0 also included SQL Server Compact Edition 3.1 - would it be an improvement or beneficial if I opted to install SQL Server Compact Edition 3.5 or 4.0 - or is version 3.1 used by default no matter what version is installed?

last 2 days, she has been trying to get on to Microsoft Messenger-- not allowed to sign in;

error: the server is not available or there is no internet connection


internet connection is good as well as the computer


deinstallation and installation was done successfully but still getting the same error message

1. The sync service in Outlook Preferences is inaccessible and does not function 

2. Office 2011 update. Update 14.1.0 keeps popping up and on installation gives message it cannot be installed. Version in use is 14.2.5 
I can't finish the installation. An message of error in a strange language appears during the scripts installation.

Brand new MacBook Pro with new installation of Office for MAC with all the latest updates.

With Outlook 2003 on my old PC, I had a UNREAD MAIL folder which showed the unread mail and the folders they were in (sent to the folders via a rule.)

How can I replicate this in Outlook 2011?

Note: Outlook .pst file was imported from Outlook 2003 (PC) into Outlook 2011 for Mac
