I have a thousand or so unread emails in my gmail inbox.  How can I sort my inbox to read and unread or other means to group these unread messages and delete them?
Hi

This all started yesterday.  The icon for outlook showed an unread count and the inbox showed the same number.  I have subsequently cleared the inbox but still it shows an unread count.  I have searched for unread mail but none can be found.

I've checked on my web view of the same account and there are no unread messages there.

I have tried restarting outlook and rebooting the mac but these have made no difference.

What has changed and I don't know why is that the doc icon no longer displays the incorrect unread count but the GUI still does.

Any ideas what I should do.

Thanks
I've stopped using my Outlook.com email since transferring from Hotmail and have just worked out why. My unread mail used to be highlighted in bold until i read them, i could easily see what had and hadn't been read. Now all messages are in regular text with no bold, so it looks like new mail has been read.

Can you recommend a fix or a setting to get unread mail highlighted bold??
Many thanks in advance
hello,
it is been a month i have this issue when i open my mail inbox i see 3 (Inbox 3) and i don't have any unread mail in my inbox!

how to fix this bug?
thanks.

I have  a mail in my inbox which I can not see , read or delete . it looks like unread mail and always is in the inbox.   It is looks like spaying mail in my in
box

The unread mail folder has disappeared from the folders column.

I have looked in Quick Views there are two lines referring to unread messages/email, one is checked but not highlighted and one is checked and highlighted.

Can anyone help me to get the Unread folder to appear again?

I am using Live Mail there is no reference to it in the selection topics so I trust I am in the correct forum.

Eddie

Original title: unread mail

When I used Outlook in Windows  6 years ago, I could change the colour of the preview message header so I knew what mail was unread. Is this possible in Outlook for Mac?
Brand new MacBook Pro with new installation of Office for MAC with all the latest updates.

With Outlook 2003 on my old PC, I had a UNREAD MAIL folder which showed the unread mail and the folders they were in (sent to the folders via a rule.)

How can I replicate this in Outlook 2011?

Note: Outlook .pst file was imported from Outlook 2003 (PC) into Outlook 2011 for Mac

Thanks...Dan

My inbox is only showing  read emails i have recently  received. All my new unread emails go directly to my unread folder only.
