[Moving this post from previous thread that was similar but not the same issue]

I have the latest version of MS Outlook running on my 27 Inch iMac that is running the latest version of Snow Lion. I had my local Apple store do the migration of my files from my old PPC Mac running 10.5.8 when I purchased my new iMac. However I am having trouble with moving files from Entourage version 12..3.5 (Microsoft Entourage 2008 for Mac). The Main Identity got corrupted and some of the files did not move over.

What I wanted to do was to select folders of important emails in Entourage, save them to my desktop by dragging them there (where they have a suffix of .mbox, use Dropbox to bring them over to my iMac and then import them using the directions presented in this thread. But when I follow the steps of File-Import-Contacts or Messages-.mbox files I am presented with a window where I can search for the .mbox file to import. But the file I just brought over to my iMacs desktop can be seen it is greyed out and cannot be selected.

How the heck do I bring these folders of email messages into Outlook?

I've tried exporting my Identity but that always gives me an error message. So what other choice do I have?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a girl named Tatiana in my contacts. In Home tab, I use that little search field on far right a lot. She comes up with search there.

But when I click on contacts itself, bottom lower left, and do a search with her name, upper left, she does not come up. That is the more proper search. I don't get it. thanks!

A friend of mine wanted to use an Exchange account additionally to his normal profile (POP3 email, calendar etc.) in Outlook 2011.

He said he just added and configured the profile. When he re-openend Outlook 2011 the old profile and all data was lost.

I searched the harddisk, but there's only the "fresh" profile data files of the Main Identity in the Documents/Microsoft User Data folder.

What did happen here? Is there a chance he can recover the data?

When I was with Microsoft entourage I sent email and I know automaticaly when the receiver open and read my email. Since I used Outlook I didn't find how to do that? someone could help?

Hi, i would like to know the procedure in case i want to delete/erase completely my Outlook identity to start fresh and reconfigure all email accounts.
Can you help?
So, Mac users would not use a "business contact manager" whereas PC users would, huh?  Nearly 2 years ppl have been asking for this for Mac!!!  When will the product development ppl actually do something?  Besides saying "Put a PC on your Mac"  Reason we have Mac's is cos we don't like PC's!

Are you actually working on this feature or have I wasted my money?  Is there any glimmer of hope?

Brett
I'm using Outlook 2011 (version 14.2.5, (121010)), and over the last 1-2 weeks, with no account or settings changes, my deleted messages are no longer being moved to the Deleted folder on the IMAP server that I have instructed it to move deleted messages to.  It is working the same way on two different computers, each running the same version of Outlook.

Has something changed with a recent update?  It used to work fine....

Thanks in advance...
