Outlook for Mac 2011 - Doesn't alert me when I have appointments.

  • I have a Mac so I bought Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011.  I keep missing appointments because the Outlook Calendar doesn't pop up an alert on my screen like my old Microsoft Outlook calendar used to.  How to I set it so it alerts with a sound and pop up for an appointment?
Have been working with Comcast for 4hours trying to get and send my E-mail my wife can receive hers but can't send. Comcast said to contact Microsoft live mail

Bud

just worked out the full reason why i cant reactivate my hotmail account, its simple its a great big con. Just been told by tech support they can unblock my account for£169, they say there is no other way as my computer must be infected. load of rubbish. allready have good security and no other account for which the info might have been available by the hackers has been accessed. Microsoft apparently dont offer support for hotmail any longer, but have another firm handling it which charges you for it. My account had been made safe well before they blocked it so there was no reason to block it. had tried reactivating email but the link they send you says temporary fault. has been for a few days, obvious to anyone its a big corporate scam. shame on microsoft for deploying these tactics.

outlook will recieve messages from windows live but will not send them. they just go into aa pending file??

Tried to run Office 2011 for Mac 14.2.3 update.
Can't run it because it says the apps Microsoft Database Daemon and SyncServicesAgent are still open.
How do I close them?
Obrigado...

Is it possible to separate personal and MicroSoft Exchange (work) emails and contacts in Outlook for Mac 2011?  I'd like to access my work email, contacts and calendar on my personal MacBook but don't want my personal Outlook data backed up on the work Exchanger server.  Any advice on this issue would be much appreciated.  Thanks, R_Davis
Please help.
Thanks
hi ,
I'm using Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 (11e53). I have 2 issues.
1. I can't sync my contacts through icloud anymore like I used to do with windows 7.
2. messenger is not messenger anymore. if someone sends me a message when I'm offline, I don't get it.
Also, If I want to send someone an offline message, msn quits and gives me the following message:"THE SYSTEM IS UNAVAILABLE NOW SO YOU HAVE BEEN SIGNED OUT OF MICROSOFT MESSENGER"
Can you please help?
thank you
I'm using Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac in a corporate environment.  To organize my email, I created folders to house my older sent and received messages.  These custom folders were available from the "On My Computer" section visible in the left panel. After my Mac PowerBook died, I was provided a new laptop.  The IT person migrated over all my email that was available on the server, but not the mail from the "On My Computer" folders.  I used Time Machine to backup my system but was unable to restore it to the new Mac (IT person said it could not be done due to upgrade in OS).  I'd like to be able to access the email that I had stored locally, but I don't know how to find it.

What would these files or folders be called by Outlook?  Anybody know how I might access this data?

Thanks
