Help making vids with a webcam and movie maker

Hi everyone,

Ive jus got a new webcam for my PC an was hoping to make vids on movie maker with it, however for some reason it always stops recording at 1:05min long? I can make lots of vids like this or I can do longer vids via my regular camera but wanna use my webcam. Can anyone help me with this? Im running on windows 8 and the movie maker came pre installed.

Any help would be hugely appreciated as this is getting really frustrating.

Hi - can someone help?

I'm have a new computer with Windows 8.1. I'm running Windows Movie Maker Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3522.0110).

I can activate my USB-connected webcam without a problem, but all I have is the video - no audio. The inbuilt mic is working fine - I can record narration without difficulty - and Skype is also OK (both audio and video).

Is there a conflict somewhere that's blocking the audio on a straight recording from the webcam?

Many thanks for any advice, which will be gratefully received!

I guess this is a two parted question, I obviously have a built in webcam but video/photos are very "slow" it takes a while to "catch up" to my movement (is there anyway to fix that) but since that happens I use a webcam, now when I use Movie Maker it automatically goes to my built in webcam but I want it to go to my plugged in webcam how can I change that?

Hola, tengo un problema con mi webcam, hace unos días tuve que formatear mi Pc. y ahora no me funciona este dispositivo, he instalado los controladores a través del soporte técnico de Creative, pero cuando quiero acceder a la cámara me dice que no encuentra el dispositivo y en el solucionador de problemas dice que no tiene instalado el controlador.
Antes de formatear el Pc. funcionaba perfectamente, ¿Saben de alguna solución para este problema?; la cámara venia con un CD. para la instalación pero lo he extraviado.

cannot make video calls,was working ok till few days ago, webcam still shows as working properley

my computer says I am logged into one spot but my wife in the UK shows me logged into two spots

When we chat on messenger, her computer shows me logged into two spots, she can webcam with me from one of them, but has to go to the other one if I send her a picture. I am the only person on this PC so I know if I logged into anything else. We are trying to find a fix for it.
