Some files in Excel for Mac 2011 will not print to PDF correctly.

First with version 14.0.2 and still with version 14.1, on Mac OS X 10.5.8

Due to known & likely bugs with updating corrupting Outlook, "just update" is not an option, especially as it's not guaranteed or even implied to fix this issue.

With *some* documents - but not all, when using print to PDF (with either the built-in OS X feature and/or with Acrobat Pro X),
and attempting to scale the document to Fit 1 page wide by 3 pages tall (or thereafter any other scaling),
the cels don't take up the full page and the last page, the cels are pushed up to the top of that page instead of using the whole of the available page.
The first noticeable symptom is that the preview in the print dialog window is *blank*

Logging in to/with another account on the same machine, the problem does NOT happen.
On another workstation with matching OS and Excel version, the problem does NOT happen.

I have set aside *all* contents of the user/Library/Preferences folder and logged out and back in, no change in the problem.
I have verified the fonts using FontBook, resolved a duplicate font issue for Verdana (being used in the file in question), no change in problem.
I've intentionally changed the font to something else, no change.

Cleared caches (including those as located via:  getconf DARWIN_USER_CACHE ) and rebooted, no change.

What possible setting file that is user-account specific could be causing this problem ?

I have a user running OS X 10.6.8 and Office 2011 for Mac Outlook v. 14.2.3 . Previously this user was on Entourage with Office 2008 for Mac. We are using an Exchange 2007 server. This user is on a MacPro.

The problem is the user is frequently getting messages that the Outlook database needs to be rebuilt.  When then problem started this happened once a month. This became once a week and now is several times a week, if not daily.

Sometimes it happens when they open Outlook, other times it happens after they have been using Outlook for several hours.

Does anyone know what is causing this? What can be done to stop this from reoccurring?

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

I have been using an external hard drive to save my outlook data file .PST in windows OS, so when I'm using another pc/ notebook I could just connect my external HD and follow up with my emails. I recently got a mac & wondering how I can do the same (moving between WINDOWS & MAC), I've been trying to but seems it can't as outlook in Mac has different extension .OLM

Please advise.

Thanks,

Ridwan

Since last week we have issues with the sync between Outlook 2011 and Exchange 2010. When starting the application it works just fine and downloads the mails but after the download the users has to re-enter their logon credentials. Outlook will not accept the entered username and password and the user will not be able to send or receive mails.

But, if they change the password in the account settings instead it will work for a short while but after the mail box has been synced the logon dialog box appears again and the password is not accepted.

Most of the users are running on Mountain Lion and the 14.2.3 version of Outlook. Our Exchange server is Exchange 2010. The problem occured last monday, september 10th. No changes has been made in the Exchange server for the past two weeks.

Another thing, a user tried to reinstall Office and first uninstalled it. Now, when he tries to install Office for Mac 2011 on his Mountain Lion he receives the following message:

Microsoft Outlook can not be opened because of a problem. Contact the developer so that you are sure that Microsoft Outlook works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the software. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X.

I have outlook 2011 in my MacBook Pro (OS X Lion) and use an exchange account with email size limitations, I recently archived my email but the exported file was saved a unix exec file not olm.  I lost all of my emails in outlook and cannot import the unix exec file.  I have tried to change the file extension and the app chosen to open the type of file wo success.  My Mac still does not recognize what type of file it is.  Any Help or recommendations?  I am desperate.  Too many valuable emails lost.  Thanks.
I continuously get:
outlook wants to use your confidential information stored in "InternetAccounts Access Group" in your keychain

each time my Outlook tries to get email messages.  I have responded to always allow, but that does not cure the problem.  I have also gone into the keychain list and tried to allow ALL applications to access this itme to NO avail.  What to do next???
"Since launch" was a very useful saved search for me in Entourage. Is there a way to use it as a Smart Folder in Outlook 2011? I can't find it in any Date Sent by or Date Recieved function. Could a raw query do it?
