Hi,

I have a problem when performing a sync between my outlook for mac and the exchange server of my company. During the sync process every recurring meeting that is being synced extends the meeting time and change the original time of the meeting. For example a weekly recurring meeting that was scheduled for Wednesday 11:00AM-11:30AM changed the time to be 5:00AM-6:30AM. When the meeting was not set by me it appears for all other participants at the correct time.
I have tried multiple time to cancel and rest the meetings and the issue repeats every time a sync is done.
My exchange account is synced with multiple devices windows laptop, iphone, ipad and a macbook.
Did any one experienced this issue and have a solution?
thanks in advance,
Ron
I'm an Office 365 user and I'm running Outlook on 3 MAC's and 2 PC's.  Everything is working fine on all machines except one.  The folders on that one machine are not only not in sync but they are not in order.  I tried to reset the cache on the MAC which is what it says to do to force a resync but that is not working.  The calendars are also out of sync.  On the PC, you just delete the .ost file on the local machine and the file is rebuilt and resynced automatically.  There does not seem to be a similar procedure on the MAC.

Thanks for any help.
Hello

I use Outlook 2011 on my MacbookAir. I can confirm no changes have taken place on the MBA or the iPhone. Possible that IT have made some changes on the Exchange server but unlikely.

Until 2 days ago everything was fine. Now though, any reads, deletes etc on messages in my Inbox are not reflected on the server and therefore are not reflected on my iPhone (nor my Windows laptop which I have booted up speficially to help me trouble-shoot).

Changes made on either the PC or the iPhone do propogate to the MBA.

My inbox on the MBA is less than about 20 msgs or so. The inbox is apparently up-to-date. I have deleted a load of messages from both the deleted items and sent items folders which seems to be updating but taking some time.

Any ideas what the problem is?
This was working perfectly and now they don't display on the desktop.

The are there if I check the exchange server via the web.

I can add but no display.

Help!

Thanks,
-Peter

Hi all,

I currently get my emails from an exchange server. I have configured both Apple mail and outlook 2011 to both use the exchange account.

Currently everything sits on the exchange server.

What I'd like to do is archive everything to my local machines drive so that I can review it all at leisure. Also it will allow me to delete all the messages and folders on the exchange server and therefore free up space.

Is there a way I can do this in either or both of the programmes without having to manually drag each email onto a folder on the desktop for instance?

Many thanks in advance.
Since last week we have issues with the sync between Outlook 2011 and Exchange 2010. When starting the application it works just fine and downloads the mails but after the download the users has to re-enter their logon credentials. Outlook will not accept the entered username and password and the user will not be able to send or receive mails.

But, if they change the password in the account settings instead it will work for a short while but after the mail box has been synced the logon dialog box appears again and the password is not accepted.

Most of the users are running on Mountain Lion and the 14.2.3 version of Outlook. Our Exchange server is Exchange 2010. The problem occured last monday, september 10th. No changes has been made in the Exchange server for the past two weeks.

Another thing, a user tried to reinstall Office and first uninstalled it. Now, when he tries to install Office for Mac 2011 on his Mountain Lion he receives the following message:

Microsoft Outlook can not be opened because of a problem. Contact the developer so that you are sure that Microsoft Outlook works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the software. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X.

Hi all,

I'm using outlook 2011 to connect to an exchange server. I use a notebook and I'm working from different place. So I configured my /etc/hosts file for proper resolving of the exchange server name. My exchange hostname is cose0101. So when I change my environment, sometimes the exchange server is resolvable via DNS.
The outlook changes the hostname in the preferences of outlook. Then when I change my location the connection did not work anymore, because now the name is not resolvable via DNS or hosts anymore. So I have manual to reconfigure the setting.

So, my question is: How can I stop the automatic reconfiguration of my account setting?

Outlook for Mac 2011 ( Lion 10.7.4)and Exchange Server Sp2 ( 08.02.0301.000).
Accounts connect, but then no email gets downloaded.
Have tried connecting accounts either through Kerebos or
Name and Password, same results occur.

Do we need to move the Exchange Server to a newer Service Pack to fix?

Apple Mail works fine however.

Hello

I'm asking this question on behalf of one of our Office:Mac users. After installing and setting up Outlook to connect to the Exchange server in the office, the user is complaining about a rather strange issue. Outlook is behaving as if it was interacting with a POP account, namely deleting server messages after they have been downloaded on the Mac. This becomes apparent when emails come in and are seen on his PC and Phone, but as soon as the Mac receives the email, the message disappears from the server and is only available locally on the Mac.

I've installed Office:Mac 2011 on another Mac computer to see if I can duplicate the issue, but this installation behaves as you would expect. I can't figure out what the problem is. The Outlook that's acting up is set up straight out of the box with all default settings and connected to one Exchange account. The On My Computer folder is hidden, there are no rules to delete messages on the server, and there doesn't seem to be any reason for it to do what it's doing.

What diagnostic information can I find, look at, or provide in order to diagnose what's wrong and fix it?

Many thanks
Adrian
