Just started using Mac Mini and managed to set up same email account as previously used. Downloaded all data onto external hard drive before changing and have now exported it to Mac but I can't find old emails or the old email folder structure. Any ideas?

Regards

I have just completed a clean W7 reinstall. I backed up my Windows Live Mail messages (approximately 2.5gb) to a external hard drive and imported then back into a newly installed WLM. Unfortunately the email messages now have become corrupted.

The message headers appear to be correct, but the body of each message contains exactly the same text/message in each email. Is there a way to recover or correct this issue.

Hi

I run Windows 8.1

I have a number of photos that I sort into folders on my external hard drive. For months I have been opening the photos in Photo Gallery to crop them and have never had a problem.

However, when I tried to do this yesterday, this is what happened ...

I opened the relevant folder that contained my photos from my external drive and this displayed all the photos in that folder. I clicked on the first photo, which opened in Photo Gallery. I then clicked on 'Edit, organise or share' from the toolbar (this is a process I have done many times). However, although this displays lots of photos in Photo Gallery that I can edit, it does not include the ones in the folder that I just opened - they are nowhere to be seen. I have not hidden the side navigation because it does display lots of photo folders. I have also run a repair on Windows Essentials but it has made no difference.

As far as I can tell I have done differently to what I have dozens of times in the past without any problems.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi ...I am aware of a post from Microsoft Moderator Leilani P. on November 15, 2012  regarding this issue. I have followed her advice up to the point of ; "Open the WLM Store folder." However, when I open the  'Storage Folder' and then open the 'Local Folder' the folder is empty.

I have not been able to locate my storage folders anywhere else on my C Drive. However, I do have the folders backed up to an external hard drive and so if no one can tell me how to locate my lost folders in my C Drive could someone perhaps assist in telling me how to transfer my storage files from my external hard drive back into Windows Live. Thanks very much , I would definitely appreciate any help offered!

I have a new computer.

All my old photos are on the old computer and on an external hard drive.

I have attached the external drive to th new computer.

I can now view these photos easily on Photo Gallery.

But I know longer have all my old folders, which organized these photos into favorites, vacation places, people, etc.

Can these folders be resurrected to the Photo Gallery on the new computer?

And if I am able to import these folders, will they recognize which photos belong in which folders?

To put it another way, is there a way for the photos on the external hard drive to be organized in those folders the way they were on the old computer?

I am looking to find the emails I stored in the local storage folders in Windows Live mail, following a change of computer I have the old HHD mounted as an external hard drive but I have been unable to find all the emails that I had saved in the storage folders and would live ideally to import them into the windows 8 mail app or just be able to open them for reference as a document
I have a new Windows 8 ultrabook that has minimal storage - 100 gigs total storage, with only 27 gigs free.
I have all my photos on an external hard drive. When I want to view a photo in Photo Gallery, it wants to import all the photos. Well there is not enough storage space. So is there any way I can view/modify my photos in Photo Gallery that are stored on my external hard drive?
I've put a PST file on to an external hard drive and then put it on to my Macbook using the import tool on Outlook 2011 for Mac. I've got all the emails apart from the past three months. Does anyone have any ideas how to get them as I've tried to import three times and had the same issue each time?
Bonjour,

I would like to know how to properly archive my emails from Outlook on my external hard drive. I am currently using Office for Mac 2011.

Thanks,

Need insight for reinstalling Office for Mac 2011and recovering Outlook file -- am running OS x 10.6.8 on my iMac currently; I have a backup of my Outlook file from Office for Mac 2011 (Time Machine did not save it properly so I made a separate backup on an additional external hard drive).  However, I don't  know if I should reinstall the Office for Mac software first (from the original install disks) on new hard drive before copying backup Outlook file over from backup drive or not.  Clearly, the backup file has a more updated version for Outlook for Mac 2011 than the installation disks, given the Microsoft updates that have routinely occurred since the time I purchased the software.  Please advise, if you can.
