Identity rebuild confusion-Outlook for Mac 2011-urgent

1) Problem: I confess to having blithely moved my "Microsoft User Data" files out of Documents to a place more friendly to the average uninformed user (the Applications folder as, at the time, it seemed like "program stuff", not "my stuff". I lament my hastiness, repent, and plead your help).

Looks like my Outlook data files are intact but the rebuilds, the common ways, are not working (Including the move of the database file to the desktop before trying the rebuild, per Diane of Oregon). Either way I do it, rebuild runs very fast (a few seconds, on a '08 MacBook Pro), and then tells me that rebuild was successful. But when I reopen Outlook, it's still the generic "fresh start" identity, not Main or mine.

I am a simple non-Exchange/non-IMAP, POP3 email, "isolated user". I'm running "Office:Mac 2011 Academic".

3) Question: Before I try this riskier way: http://www.officeformachelp.com/outlook/troubleshoot/#duplicate, which is a little unclear as it is, and given my basically simple-cause scenario, what else could I try first?

Windows Live Mail calander, shows the week starting on the Monday

My new laptop, in the Windows (7) Live Mail calander, shows the week starting on the Monday which I have always been very anti to. Does anyone know any way I can change it to the correct layout with the week starting on the Sunday please?

Outlook 2011 for Mac. Shared mailbox does not group with other accounts.

Lost User Name

Help Please,

Over the years I have had to create too many usernames all because of Microsoft updates where my passwords would be deleted and at sametime I may have changed my second contact email address.

In any case, I would like to know if there is a way to see, recover or delete from Hotmail/Microsoft data base, the old usernames.

Even now that I have been able to reset my password AGAIN on the latest username I was unable to log into this site with my user name and password.

So now I have onemore user name to remember.

There must be a way to view all accounts/User Names that have been created under a "First Name - Second Name - Country - Mobile Phone - Year of Birth - Post Code" these would be the same for every registration.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Email rules, IMAP and POP

Why does Mac Mail makes Hotmail and Gmail POP accounts by default while Windows Live Mail doesn't? My email rules work for all my accounts with Mac Mail, while Live Mail has only one of my four accounts set as POP and therefore email rules are not working as they should. I use Parallels on my MacBook Pro and having to choose between the two mail clients, Live Mail has no chance this way...

Livemail copy fo message to my Inbox

I am using Livemail with Window XP. When I send a message not only do I get a copy in my Sent box but also in my Inbox, is there any way I can stop a copy going to my Inbox?

deleted message restore does not work for me, any other way to retrieve deleted mail from an old account?

I hadn't logged into my account for awhile and now my old emails from years back are gone. Thing is, I tried to restore the deleted messages and it didn't go back that far. is there any other way I can retrieve my old mail?

Comcast sent a note to change ports on outgoing mail. During the process with them, I accidentally deleted my account from Windows Live. I set up a new account (using all the same info), but none of the saved emails that were saved in the folders I had survived. Is there a way to retrieve them? I tried using a system restore with no luck. I suspect the answer is no, but I thought I would try. I am using Live Mail 2011 and Windows 7. Any help is greatly appreciated.

P.S. I'm not sure if this is the right forum.

Hacked email account almost cost me $30,000 via a bogus email and word doc to my broker.

The hacker was able to see my word documents, used the same font and format I use, copy and paste a signature to the letter sent to my broker. The only thing the hacker lacked was my telephone numbers and account numbers. I was told by the police and Equifax to immediately change my email to a different address. I need to keep all my folders and contacts and want to stay with hotmail or outlook but am told transferring folders cannot be done. Is there a way to do it or a way to change my login ID and keep the folders intact. Please help as this is a serious problem and all of my contacts are getting the same email that spammed me. Thank You.

Got an email from "Windows Live8 Team" that I will "lose my account permanently" unless I give acct info, including password…seems "phishy" to me…any way I’ll lose my account?

There is a Windows 8 logo and they give tips how to manage my email once I've verified my info. The email address for "Windows Live8 Team" is <removed>.
