Got this message this morning when Windows requested to do updates -- clicked links for help, but they led nowhere -- too old? Got an error message yesterday too fleeting to quite catch, that said I had multiple errors; the day before that, Java asked permission (on startup) to install updates, then disappeared. Clearly, I kinow nothing about any of this, but am trying to start a home-based business on the internet, so I need my computer! Grateful for any help offered!
I have been locked out of hotmail for a week.
Got an email today at my alternate email saying they had verified I was me, and gave me option to change password and security question.
I was sent to a site that looked like msn.
It asked me to enter my account name and password. Said need to send me a code. They did.
I put the code in. Next site saidmy credit card info didn't match.
Do they really ask for a credit card number?
I am concerned this is not really msn.
Many thanks,
Kathy jundt

Sorry, I was in a panic and actually wrote out my situation in the title! Oops. To recap, Got e-mail from relative and opened it only to find it to be bogus. Deleted it and wrote new e-mail to relative to tell her she had been hacked. Received an e-mail in response-from her address-from the hacker telling me it was "not a hack" and she needed money".  Called relative to explain what had happened and she has not been able to log into her e-mail or facebook account. She thinks that since I opened the e-mail the hacker may be taking over my account as well. She cannot access her distribution list and said she needs to go to Apple in person to get help. What should I be doing to block this?

i GOT AN E-MAIL FROM supposely hotmail team saying that if i don't update my account that my account will be deleted. It's from (removed PII) this legit???? cause they are asking for my info ,password and all the other info of my account. Please help????
