Hello,

I use an older MacBook, and yesterday unwittingly started with outlook.com and automatically now use HTTPS. I managed to change back to Hotmail on a Windows computer. I now want to change back to not automatically using HTTPS, but can't find a way. Doing the action below doesn't seem work on my computer.

Hope somebody can help.

Regards,

John.

If your computer is automatically using HTTPS, I suggest that you connect using HTTP. Please refer on the steps provide above by one of our community member.

To manually do this process, please follow the steps below.

1. After logging into Hotmail and navigating to your Inbox

2. Change the URL in the address bar of your browser to https://. You should only need to delete the ‘s’ onto the https and leave the rest of the URL as is. Press Enter to follow the updated URL.

Beginning yesterday afternoon, my iPhone 4 (AT&T with iOS 6.0.1) will not synch with my Hotmail account (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) .

I either receive the error message“Cannot Get Mail. Server error. Contact your server administrator" or Hotmail will briefly show me messages through last Friday 28 December and then begin attempting to download again.

I deleted the account from my phone and re-added it, but that has not resolved the issue.

I also re-added the account under the Exchange account and it will download messages through Monday 31 Dec.

Any help sorting this out would be greatly appreciated.

Windows Live mail stopped working out of the blue yesterday.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled windows essentials 2012.  When I try to open mail I immediately get an error box "Window Live Mail has stopped working."  Same error message popped up before and after reinstalling.  No clue what to do from here.
Hi

I really need the history of IP my Hotmail account, I hope I did the procedure correctly.

My account was hacked yesterday and I am successfully throughout the procedure to change my password this morning.

I remade the procedure to change my password and I received the email with 2 links. I have not clicked as specified in the procedure on this forum.

Thank you for helping me
Yesterday, I was able to send emails to a number of recipients, however, today, one of my contacts is missing from the auto-completion function of my contacts list. Why is it gone?
I have a laptop with Windows 8 and current Internet Explorer.  I can view my hotmail from my mail icon in Windows 8, but am unable to log in to hotmail from my internet explorer browser.  It has been a few hours.  Originally there was a message stating "the Service is Unavailable".  I cleared my internet explorer cache and ran the Fix It tool for Internet Explorer.  Now when I type in Hotmail.com it says "this page can not be displayed".  I was able to log in via internet explorer yesterday to send files, but can not today.  I have not changed any settings on my computer since yesterday.  Any ideas?

I am using windows live mail 2011 on Windows 7 Home 64 bit.  I had to reset my pass word with my internet provider wowway yesterday.  Now I can receive e-mails but not send them.  I have double checked with wowway tech staff and they tell me my email settings are correct.  But I contiue to get and error ox800ccoe socket error 10060. Wowway told me I have a problem with windows live mail softare.  I have tried all kinds of fixes on other help sites like changing my outgoing port from 25 to either 465 or 587, and have tired to disable my anti virus (AVG) for sent mail.  None of these things work.

The same problem occured at the same time on our second computer running windows 7 and Windows live mail 2009 version.

I have just upgraded to Internet Explorer 10 and when I sign in to my Hotmail I have to type in the entire address each time. There are 4 family members using the same computer so I don't want it to keep me signed in. I just want to type in the first letter and have it fill it in for me like it did yesterday when I was on IE 9.  I have gone to the internet options and made sure all of the auto complete buttons are turned on.
