We have updated our PC from a Gateway with Windows XP  to a Dell with Windows 7 and have been unable to access our Windows Live e-mail for 2 days. (Hotmail account still works but this is not the account I use for my home business.) When calling tech support as directed by our internet provider, we are told that since we have one of the "old free accounts" there is no tech support available to us! We were directed to this site. Wow! What have we missed?

Server Error 3204 is given every time e-mail is checked on Windows Live Mail. The last time it worked was December 26th. Internet provider is Century Link.

My Windows Live Mail has stopped working after a Win 8 upgrade from Win 7, my email provider Telus say I have an issue with the software when the upgrade took place. Telus cannot remove or create an account, look forward to your help and reply
This started about 10 days ago and I have no idea why.  My phone provider has checked the settings and says everything seems fine but I keep getting the message 'cannot connect to mail server to verify your account' when I have deleted the account and try to set it back up.  I have download the Hotmail App but I preferred the old way as my inbox is now getting too full on my phone as I cannot deal with everything immediately.  How do I get it back the way it was.

I am using windows live mail 2011 on Windows 7 Home 64 bit.  I had to reset my pass word with my internet provider wowway yesterday.  Now I can receive e-mails but not send them.  I have double checked with wowway tech staff and they tell me my email settings are correct.  But I contiue to get and error ox800ccoe socket error 10060. Wowway told me I have a problem with windows live mail softare.  I have tried all kinds of fixes on other help sites like changing my outgoing port from 25 to either 465 or 587, and have tired to disable my anti virus (AVG) for sent mail.  None of these things work.

The same problem occured at the same time on our second computer running windows 7 and Windows live mail 2009 version.

I use another e-mail provider, yet everytime I open my mail it wants me to sign in. I don't want the sign in box to appear. How do I get rid of it?

I have just received the following message from a listserv I subscribe to:

You have been automatically removed from the COMIXSCHOLARS-L list(Comix-Scholars) as a result of repeated delivery error reports from yourmail system. This decision was based on the list's automatic errormonitoring policy and has not been reviewed or otherwise confirmed by aperson. If you receive this message, then it means that something iswrong. While you are obviously able to receive mail, your mail system hasbeen regularly reporting that your account did not exist, or that youwere otherwise permanently unable to receive mail. Here is someinformation that may assist you or your local help desk in determiningthe cause of the problem: - The failing address is [my email]@HOTMAIL.COM. - The first error was reported on 2012-12-03. - Since then, a total of 41 delivery errors have been received. - The last reported error was: 5.0.0 550 SC-001 (SNT0-MC2-F36)Unfortunately, messages from 128.227.74.149 weren't sent. Please contactyour Internet service provider since part of their network is on ourblock list. You can also refer your provider tohttp://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS MESSAGE. While you can re-subscribe to thelist, it is important for you to report this problem to your mailadministrator so that it can be solved. This problem is not specific tothe COMIXSCHOLARS-L list and may also affect your private mail. Thismeans that you may have lost some private mail as well. Anyone trying towrite to you during the same time frame might have received the sameerrors for the same reason.

What am I supposed to do to resolve this?

Up until a couple of weeks ago I would instantly get emails from another account. Its work related so quite important to me. However now, there is a delay of several hours. It started off as a 24 hour delay so I deleted the account and set it up again. It improved, but there is still a big delay. Can anyone indicate as to why this has happened and how to rectify it? I have been in touch with the service provider of the other account and everything there is working as it should. They said it was a problem at the receiving end. Thank you....
