I'm having difficulty in finding a newsgroup server that works. I tried contacting my internet service provider, bellsout.net, but they keep thinking its a microsoft problem. I tried explaining to the person that newsgroups arent run by microsoft, but she still thinks its your problem.

What is a good newsgroup server to get messages ???

Hi all,

I have an issue on my exchange server. All emails function correctly but when emails are send to the hotmail, msn, live domains, they fail.
The following error appears.

BAY0-MC4-F48.Bay0.hotmail.com
SC-002 (BAY0-MC4-F48) Unfortunately, messages from xxx.xxx.x.xxx weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/

I checked with my isp and they are not blocking any ips and all the domains hotmail, msn, live are white listed .
After searching the error message SC-002 I found this:

“Emails rejected by Outlook for policy reasons. The email server IP connecting to Outlook has exhibited namespace mining behaviour. If you are not an email/network admin please contact your Email/Internet Service Provider for help.”

I would appreciate any help in resolving this error so the ip can be unblocked.

Thanking You
Matthew Swain

My Address Folder has gone empty.  My internet service provider changed settings as my emails were not coming into my inbox. I recently started a gmail account for emails as I couldnt access my emails.  Not sure now to restore my contacts.

I have been attempting to send email to people from my websites email address however any to Microsoft email accounts were being bounced back with the following message:
MailEnable: Message could not be delivered to some recipients.
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

   Recipient: [SMTP:**********@hotmail.com]
Reason: 550 SC-002 (BAY0-MC2-F37) Unfortunately, messages from 213.246.49.251 weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.

I have contacted the hosting company who say the spammers account has been shut down but there is no solution on their end other than to wait for Microsoft to remove the blacklist.

Can you tell me when this will happen or if it is possible to have it removed now the hosting company has locked the account because we are a charitable youth work organisation and  since a majority of young people use hotmail, outlook or live email accounts this is causing us some issues.

Hi,

For months I had no problem. I use OS-X mail and at the moment a 3G connection. I have no problem browsing the web, ie: no internet connection problems.

Now some emails, for example from my brother, get to my inbox, online and my Laptop, while others do not.
Last night I was on Skype with my brother who sent a series of emails, only a couple got through.

I have checked all the settings online in my Outlook.com account and they are set correctly. In any case this is a random problem.

• Junk Folder

• Junk Mail Settings

• Blocked/Safe Senders List

• Email Rules

• Reply-to address

• Auto-forwarding Settings

Any thoughts?

Obviously it is easy to blame my internet service provider but I am using 2 different sim cards with different companies at different times. (depending on the data available based on my 'service plan')

TIA

I had been receiving emails from three different email address of a share site (shutterfly.com) with no problem. This past week all of a sudden emails sent from the site bounced back to the site. According to shutterfly site, here is the message:

Remote host response: 550 SC-001 (SNT0-MC2-F8) Unfortunately, messages from 74.121.38.132 weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.

Mail rejected by Outlook for policy reasons. Reasons for rejection may be related to content with spam-like characteristics or IP/domain reputation. If you are not an email/network admin please contact your Email/Internet Service Provider for help.

Please note the senders (email addresses) are all in my safe sender and contact list and I had no problem getting email from them before. Any help is appreciated.

We had a temporary issue where spam was being relayed off our server and we ended up on the Live, Hotmail and MSN block list. The spam issue was quickly resolved yet we still cannot Microsoft's email clients. We get the following bounce error:

#5.5.0 smtp; 550 SC-002 (COL0-MC2-F39) Unfortunately, messages from 000.000.000.000 weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.

I've submitted the block list removal form three time in the past week:

https://support.live.com/eform.aspx?productKey=edfsmsbl3&ct=eformts&wa=wsignin1.0

I still have not heard any response from Microsoft and it's very frustrating not being able to communicate with these clients. (We pay good money to advertise to their clients).

Per the error, I also contacted my ISP and had an 'elevated' case and they said they could not do anything because it would be up to Microsoft to have us removed.

We are on a dedicated server, don't send spam and aren't on any public blacklists.

Can you someone please help?

Thank you.

How can I allow emails from shutterfly?

Look at this error:

I'm really having a problem getting of of Hotmail's email blacklist.  Last week, individual, person-to-person emails started getting bounced from our domain with the following message:

*** Email address is removed for privacy ***
SNT0-MC3-F26.Snt0.hotmail.com #550 SC-002 (SNT0-MC3-F26) Unfortunately, messages from 184.81.242.98 weren't sent.  We had just suffered a minor infection with a botnet rootkit, which resulted in   us being put on several popular email blacklists, although we do not think any SPAM was actually sent from our domain.  The problem was quickly corrected, and we were cleared from all of the blacklists, except Hotmail.

Researching the problem, I found this reporting page: https://support.live.com/eform.aspx?productKey=edfsmsbl3&ct=eformts&wa=wsignin1.0

Which I have carefully filled out three times now.   There is never any kind of response or acknowledgement the submission has been received by anyone.  And the blacklist is not being removed.

My email server is completely legit, there are no problems with my DNS. I have an SPF record. We do not use any mailing lists, or send any unsolicited mail. All of the emails in question are from a legitimate, verifiable email address, to a single legitimate verifiable email address. So, I have no idea why we would be generating a "name space mining" error. I'm not really even sure what that is.

It seem that this is the forum  to discuss these sorts of problems, but the responses I've seen to others with similar problems seem to be mostly form-responses.   Is there any other way to contact Microsoft about this matter?

Thanks

Jim Helfer
