Greetings,

We have an AD / Exchange / mostly PC environment with a few Macs running Outlook 2011. We also have an blast email service hosted outside Exchange with the same email address as an internally hosted e-mail we keep to catch the replies. Sometimes we like to test the blast emails and usually, under all other email clients, it shows up as TEST within the reply field.

However, that is not the case with outlook 2011 connected to Exchange. It just shows the first part of the email address. It's a cause of confusion since they don't know which messages are tests and which are not. We have to go into the headers to figure it out.

The below is in the Headers. We want the ENTIRE string to show up in the e-mail and not just the info part.

From: "TEST MESSAGE FROM: info@xxx>

Reply-To: "TEST MESSAGE FROM: info@xxx>

Is there a way to remedy this? I've already hidden the internal info address to see if that fixes it with no luck.

Thanks in Advance.

We had a temporary issue where spam was being relayed off our server and we ended up on the Live, Hotmail and MSN block list. The spam issue was quickly resolved yet we still cannot Microsoft's email clients. We get the following bounce error:

#5.5.0 smtp; 550 SC-002 (COL0-MC2-F39) Unfortunately, messages from 000.000.000.000 weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.

I've submitted the block list removal form three time in the past week:

https://support.live.com/eform.aspx?productKey=edfsmsbl3&ct=eformts&wa=wsignin1.0

I still have not heard any response from Microsoft and it's very frustrating not being able to communicate with these clients. (We pay good money to advertise to their clients).

Per the error, I also contacted my ISP and had an 'elevated' case and they said they could not do anything because it would be up to Microsoft to have us removed.

We are on a dedicated server, don't send spam and aren't on any public blacklists.

Can you someone please help?

Thank you.

Can you please send me the most recent login information like the date and time/IP in the most recent 3~6 months? My account was hacked before and now it seems being hacked again... Also I suggest Microsoft to add a section for email clients to review the login history ourselves conveniently, considering it is so easy to be hacked again and again and so difficult to get it back...
Hi. We recently moved our hosting to Outlook.com, but discovered after a week that a significant (30+) number of genuine emails were getting automatically moved to the junk (spam)  folder. We can only access the spam folder via the web client, as when using a PC/Mac mail client (eg Outlook for Mac etc, - I am on Outlook for Mac 2011 14.3.7, but mail clients used vary) these emails don't get sent to our email clients (using POP) - which means that we have missed several important emails as we generally check email via the Outlook for Mac etc, not the web client.

Is there any way to lower the spam blocking settings? I'd rather get a certain amount of spam than miss out on real emails...

Jeremy

Hi everyone,

Outlook.com looks cool but ironically Mac users that purchased and use Outlook2011 as email client don’t stand a chance to have a decent email service.

Here’s the deal: i do have Outlook.com configured as IMAP in order to keep messages in sync on more devices.

Email messages hit my inbox (using Outlook2011 for Mac) with a few minutes delay; according to an Outlook.com employee this happens because their service does support IMAP but does not support IMAP IDLE extension which allow real time fetching of email messages.

Apparently the guys in Redmond were able to offer real time fetching and/or active sync capabilities to all major email clients available on the market but not to MS Outlook for Mac.

I would kindly like to know if there is any workaround on Outlook2011 for Mac to have Outlook.com as IMAP and real time fetching.

And if there is any plan in sight to update Outlook2011 to provide full EAS capability.

Thanks

We have an option to set up an IMAP inbox for receiving voice messages with our email client, but with Outlook 2011, there's a constant barrage of errors because the following folders do not exist.

//Junk E-Mail/
//Deleted Items/
//Sent Items/
//Drafts/

There is only an Inbox folder on the server as it should be.  How can I get Outlook 2011 to stop showing constant errors when it tries to check the status of the folders above? In the IMAP folders under tools, there is no option to unsubscribe these "default" folders. Other email clients (Outlook 2010, 2013) do not exhibit this problem.  Is there a way to configure Outlook 2011 so that it only checks the Inbox?
Greetings.

I have a hotmail account since last decade, and I migrated it to Outlook.com recently.
The issue with my account has happened recently: When I link my account to any desktop email client (MS Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Apple Mail, etc.) It only shows email from 2006, as the attachment shows.
just to be clear, the email works fine on mobile clients such as Andorid's or iOS's native ones or in my Nokia Lumia, as well as on the desktop windows 8 native client.

Hope for a soon answer about this issue, thanks for great service.

Best Regards.

Hi all,

I'm here to post about the following issue I posted last year:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/sync/skydrive-groups-group-email-causes-duplicate/37f85ce2-db6f-473e-b708-f377ba468140

However, I have made my own investigations:

First off, the duplicate emails do not appear in the Outlook.com web interface. It only appears in email clients - Windows Phone, Windows 8 Mail app, Windows Live Mail, etc. I downloaded and installed Windows Live Mail from the Live Essentials pack and used that to extract the message source of the duplicated emails.

As the emails probably have some identifying information (mainly email addresses), I will wait for a forum moderator to privately post information.

I have a hypothesis that it might be due to having email forwarding enabled, and somehow because of the way group emails show who the email is from, it's appearing twice in my mailbox? My primary address is an Outlook.com account, with all mail being forwarded to a Gmail account (for backup), however, one of the two duplicate emails contains Gmail information, including some Gmail authentication keys. (Note: I do not know how to read email headers.)

Thank you in advance for your help!
