Greetings,

We have an AD / Exchange / mostly PC environment with a few Macs running Outlook 2011. We also have an blast email service hosted outside Exchange with the same email address as an internally hosted e-mail we keep to catch the replies. Sometimes we like to test the blast emails and usually, under all other email clients, it shows up as TEST within the reply field.

However, that is not the case with outlook 2011 connected to Exchange. It just shows the first part of the email address. It's a cause of confusion since they don't know which messages are tests and which are not. We have to go into the headers to figure it out.

The below is in the Headers. We want the ENTIRE string to show up in the e-mail and not just the info part.

From: "TEST MESSAGE FROM: info@xxx>

Reply-To: "TEST MESSAGE FROM: info@xxx>

Is there a way to remedy this? I've already hidden the internal info address to see if that fixes it with no luck.

Thanks in Advance.

Office 2011 for Mac 14.3.9.  POP server (Go Daddy hosts).  OSX 10.9

For some reason, in the past week, it keeps re-loading the thousands of emails that I have already read.  I checked with my email service and went through some tests; they said it was an Outlook issue.  I rebuilt the database to no avail.  In Prefs>Reading, I have always had checked "Mark Mail as Read"--Never and had not had a problem until now.  Otherwise, the accounts that I have set up seem to work just fine.

I searched here and could not find an answer.

Please help!

Thanks.
I misspelled the security email to receive my security verification code to change the email address where the verification code gets sent. i would like to change the security email address but i can't because the security can't be sent because its the wrong security email address. is there a way around this other than closing my account and moving onto a better email service? you think people who spent years in school who designed this system would of thought of this

Hi

I have an outlook.com email account that I view on three devices (PC at home, and two iphones).  I find when I delete an email on one iphone, it deletes the email on all the devices.  I would like to change the behaviour so that it only deletes the local copy on the device it was deleted from, and the email still appears on the other devices.  Is that possible?  I had that kind of setup before starting on outlook.com with a previous email service (POP3 type service).

I've poked around in all the iphone settings and all the account setting at outlook.com and I can't see anything obvious to 'leave a copy on the server' or something like that.

thanks

Doug

After 3 hours on the phone, I've been directed here for help.  Here's the rundown:

  • I created a custom domain email service through the page at http://domains.live.com/
  • Then I created an email (ex: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***)
  • After finding Live/Outlook didn't support Exchange, but the paid Office 365 does I decided to switch
  • I purchased the one domain hosted email plan and setup all the DNS, MX, CNAME, etc for the same domain as I did with Live
  • Once all of that was showing as propagated I removed all the MX and DNS provided by Live.com for their email service leaving only those for 365
  • I also want to use the same Email address as I did with Live.com on my new Office365 account (ex. *** Email address is removed for privacy ***)

  • Now when I log into Office365 and click Outlook, I am given an error message saying:

This account doesn't have an Outlook Web App mailbox.
You're currently signed in as *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.
Please sign out, then sign in to Outlook Web App with the account you use to read your organization's email. Click here to sign out.

  • I can log into Outlook.com, the original service, as *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and send emails, but not receive.  Also my Exchange support isn't working.
  • I've since deleted that account entirely.  Still no fix to the problem
After being on the phone with Office365 support, who were great, it was determined that Live.com hasn't fully released my domain yet and that someone there needs to release my domain from the Live Service
Live has no phone support whatsoever.  I seriously need help as I depend on email for work and am currently in the dark if anyone who only has that way to contact me attempts to do so.
My outlook email service is defaulting to "sent box" can you please explain how I get it to default to "In box" as it should be.

I use the outlook.com email service.  Initially it worked just fine.  For some reason I n the past couple of months I have been unable to respond or forward emails.  I have asked for help in the past with no avail.  I am considering closing down my outlook.com service, but first I wanted to give it another shot at fixing the problem.

Actually, I really like the Outlook.com service as it allows be to consolidate multiple email addresses, but I am about to give up on that.  Another note, seems that outlook.com wants to attached files (EML) to responses and forwards of received emails.  I don't know if that is causing my problem or not.

Respected Sir,
I had configured your live mail service with my paid domain www.perfectfashion.in, now i want a password reset service to be enable in this domain so that in future if needed i can reset the password of email accounts of this domain whenever required.

This domain is for a Textile Clothes fashion company what to generate selling online, through for the communication with their online customer this email service is configured

Best Regards
We would like to use outlook.com as our email service with our own domain. The domain is rubarb.ca but I am currently not able to add it due to the message in the title. We are a theatre company and are hoping to use your service as soon as it is possible. Thank you very much for your assistance!
