My sent messages are set to be saved. There are some saved but it appears they drop off over time. Is there a way to keep sent messages indefinitely?

Why has Hotmail suddenly started grouping any emails Sent/Received to/from the same person together?  Have I hit a button accidentally?  Can I stop it?  I find it very confusing.  I like my Sent and Inbox emails to be stored separately in the appropriate place.

When I send emails I always use BC so that addresses aren't exposed.  However when I want to go back (to 'Sent') and see who I sent it to, I can't review the names.  I know there is a way, I've done it before but can't find out how I was able to do it.
Using Windows 7----. Windows Live Mail now working well, but when first used I didn't know how to organize "move to"  [folders], and what the Destinations were (apart from "Sent", and "Out", which are obvious.
I  now find that I may have moved messages to a "Recovered" group of folders, assuming it to be a plain Storage place.  Is there a better way of storing incoming (and sent) messages?
Using Windows  Home 7 and Live mail. At home I am able to send and receive emails fine. However at my daughters using WiFi my sent emails stay in the outbox. Help please... Is there a setting I need to change...Rob
Names of recipients whom I send emails to appear in the Hotmail mother "Sent" box.  However, when I create categories sub-folders and move emails from the mother "Sent" box into these sub-folders, my identity replace identities of those I send emails to.  I move the sent emails back to the mother Hotmail "Sent" box and the recipients id's get restored.  Sub-folders which I move incoming emails to appear ok..

Was automatically upgraded to Outlook, didn’t like it.  Was able to successfully switch back to Hotmail ...

BUT when I reply to an e-mail in my Inbox, the reply goes BOTH to Sent messages (as it should) AND also appears within the original e-mail in the inbox.  How can I get this to stop?  I just want my reply to be in Sent messages.

This gets especially confusing when a group e-mail goes out, begins in sent messages, but certain individuals only reply to sender (now in Inbox).  Then b/c every sent reply is attaching itself to replies received in the Inbox, if you reply to group, 1-on-1 replies go out to everyone in the group – not confidential!

I am using Windows Live Hotmail E-mail (with an @msn.com e-mail address).
