Hello all,

I am getting "no adddress" spam that I apparently cannot block in my Hotmail settings. If I look at the source code it does not show the email sender only web estensions and websites, no emails. This SPAM continues to get through. How do I block this stuff from getting through?

Thanks

I  now Windows 7 and my full Emails were transferred from my earlier Vista system. All worked well for a long time until a few days ago when I  attempted to set up a new 'message rule' for a particular 'sender' whose junk Emails continued to arrive in my inbox despite blocking the sender and his domain. I am not sure of the sequence of events that took place whilst in the 'message rule' set up in Folders but it looks like I left all the named storage folders in place but all the contents have gone. Any help would be appreciated !!

When pictures and links are blocked in incoming email it asks if you want to 'Show content' / 'Always show content..  I clicked';Always show content' by mistake,  How do I revoke that and get it to ask me if I want to show content from that sender again.
Hi, Judith. I simply clicked on "Delete all from..." under the latest message from that sender (31 messages) and immediately I was informed that 1001 messages had been deleted. Sounds like pretty incompetent design on the part of Microsoft. And to top it all, even Microsoft's own address when I wanted to reply is marked as "User Unknown"!!!!!!!!!
One might have thought that some straightforward method could be devised so that Microsoft could communicate with its users and that they could actually be in a position to respond easily.
Hi.

I've just noticed an odd behaviour with Outlook 2011 for Mac.  I search for a word/sender/phrase etc.  in a set of mails in a folder.  The search only finds items created on or before 29 November.  For messages after this date the search result is blank - even if I cut and paste a word from the mail into the search box.  The search result is blank or only includes messages prior to 30Nov2012.

Just to be clear - if *** Email address is removed for privacy *** sent me a message about Doom on 28 Nov 2012 and a message about Doom on 6 Dec 2012 and they are still in my Inbox then a search for "xyzzy" or "dungeon" or "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***" or "Doom" will only return the 28 Nov message in the search results.

Spotlight finds all the messages OK  - and the Microsoft data folders are not in the Spotlight  Privacy box, so I don't think it's a Spotlight issue. There are no folders in the Spotlight Privacy box.

I've tried re-building the database with <option+click><rebuild>.  The rebuild reported a successful rebuild but the search behaviour is still as above.

MBA 10.7.5
Outlook 2011 14.2.5

Thanks in advance for any help.

I would like to be able to personalize a holiday card in a small email blast by having the persons name and email address show in either the to or bcc field -is this possible?  I am using Outlook for MAC 2011.  I have tried to BCC a list and it shows to and from the sender.
Something seems to have changed with Windows Live hotmail Inbox. Now I have emails packeted together related to one email sender -- when I get an email from that address.
I want to turn this feature OFF, as now it is more complicated to see what was received and sent, and to not send a reply that is sent to oneself!!! Which is very aggravating.
How can I turn off this feature. It is unwanted, and just appeared yesterday, with no thanks.
When I forward an email, despite the fact that I delete the original sender's name and address, it still appears at the bottom of my forwarded email. This has only occurred recently. The forwarded email says "2 messages". Help please.

The SMTP server keeps giving me this error when trying to send e-mail from my college's Outlook.com account :

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's email address. The sender's email address was XXXXXXXXXXXX@falconmail.daytonastate.edu'.

Subject 'test'
Server Error: 530
Server Response: 530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated
Server: 'pod51009.outlook.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC78
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 587
Secure(SSL): No

I looked up the proper settings directly from the outlook.com application and I have entered these manually in setting up the account in Live Mail

SMTP setting

Server name: pod51009.outlook.com
Port: 587
Encryption method: TLS

except for the encryption method which I cannot find where to enter this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
