I wanted to save a draft message to 150 people via Outlook, but instead I sent it. As a result, the message is not going out and continues to be in my OUTBOX. Now I want to DELETE the message in my OUTBOX but I cannot access the message to delete it. How can I find it and delete it?
Thanks, HC

We have 2 Live Mail accounts on one pc. Suddenly one of them is having trouble sending messages (all types) . They get stuck in the Outbox. To get them sent I have to log off and log back in, and when I do the messages are sent from the Outbox as I open Live Mail. This means I can only send messages when I have freshly signed on.......after that they stick. I have tried using the repair function on Windows essentials and also resetting Internet Explorer (someone recommended this). Makes no difference if the messages have attachments or not. It happens to all types.

Any ideas?

This started with one email message stuck in my outbox.  Outlook continues to try to send it, but it won't go.  I have tried deleting it and dragging it into drafts to no avail.  If this is relevant, outbox only shows up in my list of folders briefly, not as a standard folder.  So I have a short window when the folder appears to highlight the email and attempt a delete or move.  Other emails continue to send just fine.  I also tried to copy the body of the email and paste it into a new email and sent it, but now it's also stuck in the outbox.  Any ideas?

Whenever I receive a new message, the message goes to the Outbox first and Windows Live tries to send it to everybody in my contact list.  In order to receive new messages, I go to Outbox first, delete all messages, and then go to Inbox.  Then the messages will appear.  How can I get this program back to normal?  I have gone to the Control Panel several times, and 'repaired' the program.  It isn't repaired.  What do I do?

In Windows Live when I set up a message rule I would like to apply the rule against the inbox however the only available folder to apply the rule against is the Outbox.

Attempt: I highlited the INBOX before I built the message rule thinking that the applied Folder will the INBOX only the OUTBOX was displayed on completion of the Message Rule

I would appreciate some instructions on how to change the applied folder from the OUTBOX to INBOX

Thank You
 Joe

Hello, since 2 days my messages to be sent out are caught in the Outbox and nothing I do helps.  I tried checking my server at >Accounts > Properties >Servers and it all seems correct just as it was when it worked normally.

Any ideas to push them out of the Outbox please?  Thanks ever so much!
I can receive e-mail but  not send it.  Gives no specific error message number.  All outgoing messages go to Outbox.  I have checked with my DSL ISP and e-mail works on their site but not in Windows Live Mail.  Have tried disabling firewall & anti-virus with still no success.  Am using outgoing port 25 - tried changing it as suggested in one response, but still won't send e-mail.

Outlook 2010, sent e-mails go to the outbox and stay their, contacted internet provider all passwords and account setting are correct, re-installed the

program same thing (I can receive but not send) any suggestions

Prior to downloading Office 365 our Quickbooks POS system created purchase orders, converted them to pdf's which then opened in our Windows Live 2011 email for sending.

I've now set up Outlook as our default email. (Connected to our gmail account via imap)  While our POS still creates the Purchase Order pdf and opens up the Outlook email template, when we send, it stays stuck in the outbox.  The pdf attachment is only 12KB, so I don't think size is the issue.

I notice the outbox is in our personal folder, not our gmail folder.  Could that be part of the problem and if so, how do I fix that?  Thanks.
