I have Outlook for Mac 2011 and a new Samsung Galaxy III and would like to sync contacts and calendar.  Apparently syncing services has been broken on Mac OS X 10.7.4 preventing many existing solutions, including Kies from Samsung, from working.

Any thoughts on how I can get these two to sync?
Suddenly all one-day, annual and other recurring events like birthdays were duplicated in my Outlook 2011 after a sync.
I spend hours cleaning the calendar and when I sync again... after a couple of syncs again they are duplicated!!!
I also try rebuilding the identity and... the same problem...
Besides, iTunes syncing is way too slow and is taking a long time to sync calendar and contact... maybe there is a corrupt file somewhere...
any thoughts????
Having moved over to Mac and lived a crash-free existence for the last 2 years, the down-side is/was losing Outlook.

So ‎I spent some money and bought Office:Mac 2011 because it has Outlook (finally) and all Mac/PC arguments aside Outlook is the best mail/calendar/notes/tasks integrated package. iCal and Mail are still in clunky land. But.... Miserable Bill and his team won't let Outlook for Mac sync with iCloud, nor can you do any kind of work-around. Import, yes, sync, no. I got my hotmail calendar to subscribe to iCloud, then tried to get Outlook to sync with that. No dice. Thank god I only paid the academic price... and a wasted afternoon... Come on Bill, it's such an obvious thing to want, and how hard can it be?

What's the point in having Outlook for the Mac and then forcing it to live in splendid isolation?

Talk about disappointed... of course you don't find out until after you've spent the money...
When I try to sync my mobile device with Hotmail the sync fails. Why is Hotmail not syncing correctly on my mobile device?
I am currently using MS Office 2011 for Mac. I am trying to sync my Outlook DB with my Blackberry Desktop Manager but when I click on Sync Services in Outlook, it is blank. Any idea what is the problem here?
I have an iMac and a Macbook pro both running on Mac OS X and both have Outlook for MAc 2011.

I just want to sync Contacts and Calendars between both machines. What is the simplest way to do this?

I have a Hotmail account for myself and one for my wife. Can I setup Windows Live Mail on my desktop to show and sync both calendars? My original account shows the calendar, but when I add my wife's account all I get is the mail. I don't see the calendar for that account and I don't see a way to add it.

IMAP accounts not reading, but able to send. I have several computers with IMAP accounts and this week I have had all of them stop uplinking. It seems that one person can uplink and sync their account , but the others can not. I get not connected to user error. I have deleted the IMAP accounts and added them back in. but still experinecing the same problem.
I have an iPhone, and it syncs with Address Book, and I have sync services turned on, but I can't seem to find a good way to sync Outlook on laptop and iMac, and Address Book.   I continue to get data moving around to different fields, missing data, no data, duplication, etc.

I also learned that if you manually enter contact info in Outlook, it won't get pushed back out.  This is a problem in the sense that I have Outlook on my laptop and my 27" iMac at work, and this results in an inaccurate address book.

I don't understand why Microsoft and Apple can't come together to have a better way to sync address book data.  Everyone I encounter seems to have an issue with this.

And speaking of Outlook, why is it that Microsoft had to try to reinvent the wheel in the layout / design of meeting notices?  what's wrong with how Outlook 2010, or 2007 for that matter, work?    I hate the fact that if I want to add people from my address book i can't simply select TO or CC or BCC and my email addresses come up like they do for the Windows version.  Instead, we have to move to the far right hand side, select the image of an address book which then takes you to Contacts Search, and then you have to choose the correct drop down, etc.  Who would design such an inefficient solution, particularly when 2010 was already out, and it works fine?  Why take a completely different approach?

Most people using Office on a Mac do so because they have used or are using the Office on a Windows machine.  Therefore, that's what they are used to.

Outlook 2011, for me, continues to be the single most frustrating, crappy Office product of all of them.  And I'm not in the Apple vs Microsoft camp - I just want what works best.  I use Office365, and all of the tools there too (SharePoint, Lync, etc.).  And I'm happy with them, for the most part.

BTW  - I have tools like Contacts Cleaner, etc.  But I'd rather get a fix for the problem to begin with, rather than a bandaid.

I have been trying to sync an internet calendar feed on Outlook 2011 for Mac but cannot.  In particular, I am trying to sync an internet calendar feed ending in ".ical". Can I please get an assist on this one?
