I have a question about the new Microsoft Services Agreement in October 2012:

"The Microsoft branded services require that you sign into your Microsoft account periodically, at a minimum every 270 days, to keep the Microsoft branded services portion of the services active, unless provided otherwise in an offer for a paid portion of the services. If you fail to sign in during this period, we may cancel your access to the Microsoft branded services. If the Microsoft branded services are canceled due to your failure to sign in, your data may be permanently deleted from our servers."

Does Windows Live Mail do this for me automatically (sign me in)  when I download and read my mail offline?  Or, do I have to actually sign-in with my username and password occasionally?

Yesterday I upgraded my MAC OS from 10.6.8 to Mountain Lion.  When I did this,  it disallowed access to all my emails that were on Entourage 2008 since it won't support Power PC programs.  Someone suggested I then up-grade to MSOffice 2011.  I got the trial offer to see how it works.   When I tried to import my data,  it would only import from Entourage 2004,  but not Entourage 2008.   When I go to import,  it indicates that it has indeed found the Files in my user Files,  but below -- where I'm supposed to highlight it and import -- it says  NO Entourage files are found.   Don't know what to do now and I can't seem to get any live help.  Please prove to me that there is a live person at the end of this....

After first login into Outlook.com you receive an offer for a new "email address""

Get a Outlook email address for your new inbox

You can get a new email address from Outlook. You don't have to worry about your contacts and previous emails, you'll keep them. And, you'll continue receiving messages sent to your Hotmail address.

Get new ID

No downside to that offer!   Be a nice chance to snag something easy to remember in the new domain.  BUT once you sign up for the new "email address" you get a message telling you that you just botched your live account and you have to use the new one to login now. On your phone. On your xbox. On all your other email clients. In Messenger. NoOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Here are a few other things to keep in mind:

· Email sent to your old address will still go to your account.

· Remember to always sign in with your new address; you won't be able to sign in with your old one. Why didnt you warn me first?

· If you'd like to stop receiving mail sent to your old address, just delete that address in account services.

I dont like my new email address that much. Not enough to make it my new login.
Change it back! Change it back!
My e-mail acct is being used to spam some work at home offer to all my contacts.  What can be done about this?

Hello,

Earlier today I was prompted to upgrade my Windows Live installation and I accepted the upgrade offer.

Ever since that upgrade was installed, my Windows Live Mail 2011 "Quick Views" no longer works.

How do I get "Quick Views" to work again?  For example, when a new email arrives in one of my email accounts, I would not like to go searching for it, but find it in my "Quick Views" > "Unread email"

Thank you for helping me resolve this issue, and I hope that the older version is still available if there is no help or no solution is available.
