MacBook Air --- updates are automatic ... Get to the install selected hard drive and then get "must close" these before install can continue. Cannot find Microsoft Database Daemon or SyncServicesAgent to close those --- what am I doing wrong?
Thanks
Hi there,
Could you please help me recover and restore all my emails on the Hotmail server? All my emails seem to have been deleted from my Hotmail inbox overnight (it has been less than 24 hours).
I have a Macbook Air and synced my Hotmail via the POP server, and had unfortunately clicked "Do what my other program says-if it says to delete messages, then delete them " in the POP folder options in Hotmail as I thought it would only delete messages that I deleted on my Macbook, not my entire inbox.
There is nothing sitting in my "POP" folder at the moment in the Hotmail server. Could you please urgently assist in recovering and restoring all my emails?
Thanks for your help.
Jocelyn
I'm running Microsoft outlook 2011 for Mac on my MacBook air.
My OS X version is 10.8.2.
The phrase "new line" isn't functioning with in Outlook.
It works in every other application except Outlook.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I have a MacBook Air and am running Office 2011. I moved the "Office 2011 Identities / Main Identity" files into my Google Drive folder, in an attempt to create a backup function for a large amount of Outlook folders I created to store old emails. When
I relaunched Outlook all the folders were gone. I copied the folders back to the place where I found them, but that has not helped. What can I do to restore them on Outlook?
Hi

Shall I put in the CD with office to mac again and use the repair funktion?
Hi all,
My wife and I recently purchased a MacBook Air and Office for Mac, and I'm having trouble configuring her Outlook accounts so that she can sync with her two iPhones (one for work, one for personal use). She was previously using Outlook for PC, so she has
brought a lot of data to the conversion.
I can't understand where I should put her Calendar and Note information. Here is what I can figure out after talking to her:
1. She has an account for her company that is provided via a Microsoft Exchange server. Her company sometimes posts calendar information, such as meetings and appointments, into this account for all of the employees to see.
2. She also has a large amount of old notes and appointments that she doesn't need to share with other employees, but are quite vital to her work.
3. There is also a large number of personal entries in Notes and Calendar that she didn't classify, and she had previously entered these (in her PC version of Outlook) on her company profile.
So my questions are:
1. Should I continue to use JUST her MS Exchange Server account for all Calendar entries, including personal things etc, or should I put personal things into the 'On My Computer' account? When, in fact, should I use the 'On My Computer' account? It seems
that many people turn this off in Preferences.
2. She can only sync up to her work MS exchange Server via wifi when she is in her office. Will this pose a problem when working from home?
3. Will her iPhone automatically sync up to the 'On My Computer' calendar entries by default?
Thanks very much for your help!
Regards,
ANDREW
I have set up a new MacBook Air with Outlook 2011 and have defined 4 different accounts - one on MSN and three POP3 accounts. Outlook will only send-receive on the MSN account. One of the POP3 accounts is defined as the default, and I can send just fine
using that account, so it is connecting to that server OK. Contact categories are also behaving strangely, but that's another issue perhaps for another thread. I'm tempted to uninstall / reinstall Office, reimport the old .pst file and start over defining
the POP3 account (the main one) first.
