On random occasions outlook will resend thousands of emails to my inbox.  I don't know how to stop this.  It is very frustrating and requires me to go back into outlook and delete these duplicate emails.  I have Microsoft Office Mac 2011 home and business.  Any help would be appreciative.
I am running Outlook for Mac 2011 version 14.0. This is at work so its on a server. In the lower right corner of the Outlook page, it is constantly uploading 4 messages. Once it finished, no emails appear in the inbox and the upload just starts again after a couple minutes. Each time it uploads, it takes about 10-15 minutes. I am able to send and receive all other email, but receiving is VERY delayed. I know this because we have web-based email also that I can check.

I have tried rebuilding the database and creating a new identity and neither worked. Anything else I can try?

Thanks for any help!
I used to click on 'email inbox new messages' icon in messenger and it would open a tab for hotmail, now it opens Windows Live Mail (which I hate) and I don't recall ever changing the settings.  I've looked everywhere to change the settings but can't find it, can anyone help.  I'm using Firefox browser.

Thanks

My iPhone 4s is jumping straight to my compose new mail page whenever I touch my inbox, junk box, and if I try to open a message and it only happens when I am in Pc site (hotmail) . It works okay on my laptop and my computer.  I have had my iPhone over 4 months and it always worked great in pc site hotmail until three days ago. Help! Regards Cat x

I am new to outlook for mac 2011 and i have a question to any other users out there.  In my old outlook when i scroll down through my folders on the left hand side, my inbox folder, drafts, sent items and deleted items never moved.  Now with the Outlook 2011 every time i scroll through all my folders the inbox scrolls too and i there is no quick way to get back and fourth from inbox to a folder at the bottom of my list.  I have to scroll all the back up and then all the way back down.  Does anyone know how i can freeze those folders to not move when i scroll through my personal folders?
In my windows live mail inbox I see my new e mails.  Currently, if i single click on an email, it opens.  I don't want it to do that.  I want to DOUBLE CLICK on an email  to  open it.  That gives me the option to delete an email (WITH A SINGLE CLICK), before opening it, just in case I get an email from an unknown source and I want to delete it before opening.  How do I change the setting?  Thank you.
I  have swapped from a 13mac book pro to a 15 mac book pro- both running Outlook exchange.
My challenge is i wish to transfer over my pst/'on my computer' folders ( due to corp mail box restrictions i created a set of folders within outlook and simply drop emails from my inbox into these folders, once no longer important)  in from old to new machine and I just cant work it out. Why is it so bloody difficult!!

After first login into Outlook.com you receive an offer for a new "email address""

Get a Outlook email address for your new inbox

You can get a new email address from Outlook. You don't have to worry about your contacts and previous emails, you'll keep them. And, you'll continue receiving messages sent to your Hotmail address.

Get new ID

No downside to that offer!   Be a nice chance to snag something easy to remember in the new domain.  BUT once you sign up for the new "email address" you get a message telling you that you just botched your live account and you have to use the new one to login now. On your phone. On your xbox. On all your other email clients. In Messenger. NoOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Here are a few other things to keep in mind:

· Email sent to your old address will still go to your account.

· Remember to always sign in with your new address; you won't be able to sign in with your old one. Why didnt you warn me first?

· If you'd like to stop receiving mail sent to your old address, just delete that address in account services.

I dont like my new email address that much. Not enough to make it my new login.
Change it back! Change it back!

The address i wanted to use for Hotmail was unavailable when I started using it - but was available for Outlook.Com - so i grabbed it.

Now i'd like all my old hotmail messages (and new ones I get at that address also) to come into the new Outlook accout i just set up.  Is that possible?
