they want to deactivate my hotmail account – is this e-mal alert real or is it abuse? PLEASE HELP

hi, i got an e-mail that my hotmail account is going to be deactivated in 24h due to several unsuccessful login attemps if i dont confirm there link. My hubby just got a NEW tablet and did try few times but he got there in the end. Isnt that good enough? Do I click on the confirmation link in the email. PLEASE HELP

XP PRO SP3 25Mhz Internet connection 4Megs RAM. Outlook 2003, with 2 different Hotmail MAPI accounts and one ISP account, constantly reports, when first opened that 1). cannot authenticate Live IDs and 2). Hotmail server offline when Send is attempted. A moment later, Send attempt goes through fine. Office Diagnostics reports zero problems

Is it possible to leave an ‘out of office’ message on a Hotmail account temporarily?

As I'm not going to be able to access my account regularly for a few weeks I'd like to send a message to those contacting me to let them know I've received their message and will get back to them. Is this possible (essentially the 'out of office' function in Outlook)?

I have received an email from Hotmail asking me to verify my email address and password. Is it genuine?

I hav received an email from Windows Live HotMail (sic) asking me to click on a link and verify my email address and password due to several unsuccessful login attempts on my account.

Is this genuine? Something about it doesn't seem right.

I have a blackberry. I have never had a problem with my hotmail.com email account set up or access til today. Asked me to verify my password. Typed it in; said invalid. Did it like 100 times no exaggeration. Said to contact hotmail. No info other than how to set up hotmail acct on blackberry. Contacted verizon. Tried to set up email account again for me. No good. Said to contact hotmail. I need to put my hotmail account back on the blackberry and have the capability to get my email messages from the berry again. Right now lost my hotmail.com email account on the berry. It works fine in hotmail. Can anyone help me get this thing sorted out? Verizon can't. Blackberry told me to come to hotmail for help. Reading instructions on how to set up an acct in blackberry only gets me the same message - email acct and password invalid, contact hotmail. Please please please help. Desperate professor. Thanks.

Multiple usernames at Hotmail login.

I used to be able to select from several usernames when logging on to Hotmail. For instance, I could see my name, my wife's name, and each of our daughters' names. Why can't I do that anymore?
