I've a problem that's been going on for almost 6 months now...
...when my Calender entries were syncing with iCal (now Calendar in OS X 10.8.x) my single entry could turn into 600 (and would and are increasing in Calender in ML). I want to simply delete all entries without having to go through the some-odd 80,000 events
that are showing up. I also want to clear my Mac OS X Calender as well but I'll ask how to do that on a Mac forum.
Is there a single file in the Microsoft Users Data folder that I could delete? It's driving me crazy and I've had to turn off Office Notifications.
Thanks,
Clinton
Cannot add POP/IMAP account to Outlook - but Exchange works fine. Seem to be missing the window to enter POP/IMAP login info.
This is a new installation of Office 2011 on OS X 10.8.
I've used the same installation of Office 2011on OS X 10.6.8 and it worked perfectly. It's not a login issue. I can send and receive mail on that system no problem.
The symptoms are: I can add an Exchange account and it works fine. A window appears for me to enter information.
However when I try to select the "E-mail" account type (i.e. POP/IMAP). No window appears. The buttons on the Accounts window change as if there is a modal dialog open. Hitting escape re-enables the minimize, maximize, and close buttons.
You can see see screen shots here:
01 Adding Exchange Account (no problems, works as expected)
02 Selecting POP-IMAP Account (no problems, other account type is selected)
03 No window visible (problem - note condition of window buttons. but there's no place to enter POP/IMAP login info)
Tonight I completely removed Office 2011 following the instructions here (as suggested at the Genius bar). Then I completely reinstalled. Same issue as before. I can add Exchange accounts
all day long, but no window appears when trying to add POP/IMAP accounts.

Tom
When i am working with a document with tracked changes, it will suddenly freeze, say if can't auto-recover because the HD is full, and then crash. losing my latest work. It happens without warning and can lose me 2-3 hours work. I close all the other programs
so the laptop is not running anything except word and it still happens. It only seems to happen with tracked documents or those with lots of comments. Does anyoen have any suggestions? I have installed Mountain Lion but it was happening before that too.
I have Mac OS 10.6.8 running on an iMac 2.8 i7.
I use the Microsoft Outlook calendar, which synchronizes perfectly with my iPhone (using iTunes, cable connection).
However, I am looking for a possibility to (automatically) synchronize my personal Outlook calendar with my wife's iPods calendar using WiFi.
FYI: the iPod is coupled with her personal computer and not with my iMac.
Is it possible to merge our calendars?
I'm having a problem with my outlook refreshing and the cursor locking up while typing emails.I start typing and about 8 or 9 words into a sentence the curser stops moving and the pinwheel shows up on the screen, about 4 seconds later i can resume typing
and then the cycle starts over again. i don't think this started happening until I upgraded to mountain lion. I am running OX Mountain Lion 10.8 on a macbook pro that is 1 year old and have installed the 14.2.3 update for Office for Mac. I've checked my disc
permissions and repaired. This is only happening on Outlook email.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks David

I have recently purchased a Macbook Air with MS Office. I mostly use Outlook on a desktop PC with Outlook with exchange server 2011. I also access my emails with iPad and iPhone.
For some reason, on my Macbook Air, some reoccurring appointments appear twice or the appointment has been stretched over a couple of days? This only seems to be on some and not others?
Has anyone seen this before?
