I upgraded from a PC to a MAC and bought MS Outlook 2011. On my PC, when I did a search the listing of emails with my search content would show as highlighted yellow; i.e. search text highlighted.  How can I get MAC Outlook 2011 to do this?

Split From: "Mac Outlook 2011 does not sync particular events with iCal"

I have tried to do the aforementioned solutions, but there are no files in my user/library/preferences folder titled

com.microsoft.Outlook.SyncServicesPreferences.plist

com.microsoft.SyncservicesAgent.plist

(There are lots of other files with the com., but not these)

I moved "Microsoft User Data" so my emails are in the wrong path.   Does anyone know how to restore them?
I imported my calendar from the Windows version of Outlook, and while I set it as my default calendar on the Mac, all new appointments are still displaying in the calendar that came out of the box.  Not only can I not delete this calendar that I don't use, I can't even copy/paste appointments from that calendar to the one I actually use.  Has anyone else ever had this issue, or know of a workaround?
I want 2 separate Smart Folders:

1) All due -before- Tomorrow (i.e., Today & Before Today, or, i.e., all that are either Overdue or Due Today).

2) Due Tomorrow (but not before or after tomorrow).

I've moved from Outlook 2003 on XP, and there you could type any logical day into any condition, any date field, any filter: "tomorrow" or "two tuesdays from now" or "three months from last monday" and it'd store and/or do the date math. But now there is no Tomorrow. Hellllllp! THANKS
Since a May upgrade, I am unable to receive any mail at my @mac.com accoun†.   Outlook set up seems to correctly point to this account but shows a yellow light in the selection panel.  It is the only account that is available in this panel.  The message in title above shows down in lower righ† corner when click on yellow alert sign.  beside the words Not connected to account.  Continue to receive this error code.
Our office manager was out yesterday and whenever someone emailed me they got her out of office notification-is there any legitimate ACCIDENTAL explanation for this?
After my upgrade to Mountain Lion, Outlook now takes 75-90 seconds to load.
I have re-built the database and attempted several other "fixes" noted on the MS Forum, without any success.
Any suggestions?
If I send email from Office for Mac 2011, people who get my email in Office for Windows (latest version) at times will see poor formatting or different fonts used within the email.  Is anyone else seeing this same type of behavior?
I work for a school that uses an Exchange server for mail and calendars. I'm using Outlook 2011 and for some reason the calendar my principal shared with me doesn't show up in Outlook. It shows up in the web access version, but not when I use the actual application on my mac. When I try to open a calendar from him, it says I don't have permissions, but clearly I do because it's showing up in Outlook Web Access. Any suggestions?
