Outlook (Office) for Mac 2011 running on a Mac (10.7.5)

I can't see where to configure Outlook to show the next message after you delete the message you were currently reading. The program takes you back to your intray.  It should be configurable to show the next message, the prior message or take you back to the intray.

I was able to do this with Entourage, haven't found how to do it in '11.

Wondering if there is a way to configure Outlook for imap instead of pop for my hotmail account.
Hi there!

I have a domain www.mgippl.com. I need to configure outlook for this. I got the following details to modify in my MX Record :-

  • DNS record type: MX
  • Host: mgippl.com
  • MX server: 627d58eabf5bb048936cfde871037a.pamx1.hotmail.com
  • TTL: 3600 or 1 hour
  • Priority: 10 (or High priority)

and  i remove all my old mx records and create a new record as per the above detail, but TTl for my mx record is 7200 because my domain panel do not allow me to set it less than 7200. so the changes i made in my MX record as under :-

Name mgippl.com

Class IN

Type MX

Priority 20

Status Active

Value 627d58eabf5bb048936cfde871037a.pamx1.hotmail.com

TTL 7200

Creation Date 2013-10-29 21:41:01.006678

After making changes, while i am trying to refresh my outlook, it again ask me to Refresh, means it still shows me that the status is "Pending DNS configuration." Please help me to set outlook for my domain. www.mgippl.com

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

I've just recently setup an Outlook custom domain/email with Domains.Live (southernservices.com.au).

I'm in the process of trying to configure Outlook 2011 (mac version) with this email, using IMAP.
I am using the correct IMAP settings, however when trying to send an email I get the following error:

Can I please have some help with 'authentication the user' so that I am able to send?

Further Info:
* I can receive emails fine, just sending.
* Outlook 2011 does connect securely to smtp-mail.outlook.com, just wont send.
* IMAP settings I am using are:
  • Type: IMAP
  • Incoming Server: imap-mail.outlook.com
  • Server port: 993
  • Use SSL to connect: checked
  • Outgoing Server: smtp-mail.outlook.com
  • Server port: 587
  • Override default port: checked
  • Use SSL to connect: checked
No matter what I do. I tried to fill in all the profile information, but even when I click on some of the tabs it sends me to the page to send an email to verify my identity.. When I click the link in the mailbox, I get the same message again. How do I fix this, because it seems permanent and not temporary! How can I successfully verify the domain I registered into outlook since the link sent by mail keeps sending me to the error page? I have several domains I want to handle through Outlook and all of them have the same recurring issue.

Thanks

Hello,

my boss bought an iMac. I installed Office 2011 on it.

He asked me to configure Outlook as he had on the old PC (with Office 2010)

He want sorts the email by "From" -> Show on groups -> Collapse all groups. That as default.

With Outlook 2010 I can do it, with Outlook 2011 i can do the same options, but when I move from Inbox to another Folder or i restart Outlook, when i come back in the Inbox I see all groups expanded and I have to collapse groups every time.

If i sorts by Size for exemple and i collapse all groups, that work. The problem is only with "From".

Anyone know how to fix?

Thank You and sorry for the english.

how to configure outlook on mac
Our security policy is such that all of our accounts require the Active Directory account setting "Smart Card is Required for Interactive Logon".  Also, any Web Server port open to the Internet must require client certificate authentication (this includes the Exchange EWS virtual directory).   I can successfully connect Outlook 2011 to the Exchange server by choosing Kerberos as the authentication method as well as specifying my client certificate under the "Certificate authentication" section of the Accounts -> Advanced -> Security tab in Outlook 2011.

However, when working remotely, the Kerberos ticket expires and users are unable to connect to Exchange.  When they bring their Macs back to the local network, they are able to get a new ticket and connect Outlook again.

Is there a way to configure Outlook 2011 to use client certificate authentication only?  Any other way to get Outlook 2011 to connect to Exchange remotely when the "Smart Card is Required for Interactive Logon" setting is enabled?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

I am trying to configure Outlook service for my domain - himachaltaxi.in - which is a cab rental service in Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

When I tried to add the domain it gave me an error - This domain name can't be used because it contains a protected word or inappropriate language

Please help to configure the mail service for my domain as there is nothing inappropriate in my website as we offer taxi/cab rental service.

Hallo,

I have Outlook 2011 for Mac on Mac OS X 10.8. Calendar and Mac Mail simply work fine with google mail and calendar.
I'm using Outlook also for our company Exchange host and I additionally want to synchronize my private google calendar into my Outlook 2011.
The sync service does not recognize the google entry.

Is there any chance to fix that?
