I have just purchased Office 2011 for Mac. I have an outlook.com webmail address that I want to access via this desktop application.

Having searched online I cannot believe what I read, that I cannot sync my existing email folders with my desktop version of Outlook? If this is the case then I guess I will have to set up a gmail account instead... but surely this cannot be true? Outlook will not synch with outlook.com ??

Any suggestions for how to get this to work would be much appreciated!
When I add a contact in Outlook, it does get replicated to Apple's "Contacts" but not to the iPhone.  In Contacts, it shows up when I click "All on my Mac" but not in iCloud.

In summary...

 - when I add a contact on the iPhone, it shows up in Contacts but not in Outlook.
 - when I add a contact in Outlook, it shows up in Contacts but not the iPhone.
 - when I add a contact in Contacts, it shows up in Outlook but not the iPhone

Is there a way to keep them all the same (and in sync)?

I have all boxes checked in synched services.  My iTunes says contacts should sync over the air via iCloud.

Hello,

I have had previous versions of Microsoft Outlook for Dell computers. The past few versions have all had a feature that has become essential for me. When using the general search function, if I typed in a few words it scanned text in the body of the emails, but also in attachments such as Excel, Word and PDF.

I have not been able to figure out how to do this on my 2011 for Mac. When I type in some words to search it only scans the body of the email and not any attachments. This is very difficult to use as is for my business.

Is there some sort of setting I need to change to make the search function more robust? I tried adding Excel, Word and Adobe in Spotlight Privacy and then removing them to re-index, but that did not work.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
Looking for some help. I recently refreshed to a new retina MBP running OSX Mountain Lion from a previous MBP running OSX Lion. The new machine came preloaded with all the apps I needed and all I want to do is move local email folders in 'on my computer' to the new one. I proceeded to highlight the folder in question and then did a File-->Export to an .OLM file. The procedure worked (took a long time for 13Gig of data). Then I copied the OLM file to portable drive and then tried to File-->Import the .OLM file into Outlook on the new machine. Every time I tried to use the import function Outlook crashes.

Any ideas?

Thanks
How can I add a second time zone to the Outlook for Mac calendar?

Most all Q and A's regarding syncing the Calendar in Outlook 2011 for Mac and iCloud have been asked and answered in late 2011.  Is there an updated answer to When will the Calendar in Outlook 2011 for Mac be able to sync via iCloud?

Only in Outlook, whilst typing emails, the cursor jumps from where your typing, to the bottom of the email, so you have to stop typing (otherwise all your doing is typing at the bottom), bring the cursor back up and start again - it can happen more than once ... HELP, before I throw my iMAC across the room!

I've read the posts. Creating a new identity is complex and long (and I'm a novice). There HAS to be a simpler way to get rid of those non-deletable inbox emails.
