when I try and send email I get an error message as above and a second error message says "sorry something unexpected happenned and windows live mail must close"

Has the bug been fixed in regards to adding background music to windows live mail 2011? If I add a song, do i need to remove it from the background before I send another email to someone else? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Suzanne Magnuson

I accidently deleted the trash folder from one of the accounts in my Live Mail (not the contents, the whole folder).  Now my Live Mail will not work at all.  I deleted the account and replaced it without effect.  The Error Messsage is:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Charter (ew22155)(1) account.  Header download for the 'Trash' folder did not complete.  Could not select 'Trash' on the IMAP server.  Try updating the folder list and then try again.  [I am unable to find out how to 'update the folder list;' adding a folder does not work].

Server Response:  The specified mailbox does not exist. [I can access it online.]

Server:  'IMAP.charter.net'

Windows Live Mail Error ID:  0x800CCCD2

Protocol:  IMAP

Port 143

Even as I keyed this message, I got a beep indicating incoming mail.  I checked and can now access my email (still no trash folder).  However, when I close and reopened Live Mail, I got the same message again  Tried sending a test mail from one account to the other; Windows Live Mail would not let it be sent.

What I want to do is every time I open WLM in Windows 7 2011, I would like it to default to my "IN BOX". I had WLM set up that way at one point, I put it on line on how to do it and someone sent me the steps to follow, unfortunately WLM does not do that any longer it has reverted back to opening up on whichever folder it was on when I log out of WLM. I also have misplaced or thrown out the instruction on how to perform the task in question.

So if someone could send me those instructions again I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you

I am getting this error message when I open Windows live mail. Spent nearly 2 hours on the phone to BT Technical help and it still isn't resolved. Anyone any ideas?
This appears to be fairly common, but I am yet to be able to resolve this: (Windows Live Mail, Windows 7). When I try to Compile a new message, reply, or forward, I get this message "A problem has occurred while trying to open this message. A problem has occurred. Please try later". I have tried Windows Essentials Repair, uninstall/reinstall. I can view received email through WLM and also the website for Hotmail and POP3.I can also compile, reply, and forward via website. I have now spent days on this. I am very persistent, But I am now ready to fly the white flag and/or remove the remaining strands of hair left. I cannot understand why Microsoft can't address this. The solutions help procedures via Windows 7 are of no assistance. Can anyone offer assistance?

Windows Live Mail has slipped a link somewhere. All of a sudden (one month ago) it started with this Logon - Shaw....my email address here...

Please enter your user name and password for the following server. Trouble is- it won't accept any password. It just goes on and on and on. If I close the logon window and then the email program and quickly reopen it, by the third or fourth try my emails will drop in. What is going on and how can I change this?

Thanks ahead of time

Cathie
