I had to establish a new email address as Optimum was bought by Charter. I can receive emails but cannot send mail.  I get error ID 0x800CCCoE with socket error 10060. I have used the following specs to fill in the blanks for new account. These were received from Charter. 1) Server type:  IMAP

2) IMAP Incoming mail server: IMAP.charter.net   Port 143  3) Outgoing server information:  smtp.charter.net port 25.  I checked 'remember this password' and 'manually configure server settings'. Please help.

What do I put for:    Incoming Mail: and Outgoing Mail when Charter.net is the server?

I am trying to help my wife with her Charter e-mail account that she has been accessing through Windows Live Mail. She recently changed her password and now gets the following error message:

 

Unable to send or receive messages for the Charter (vab3) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR [IN-USE] account is locked by another session or for maintenance, try again.

I have email address as ***Email address removed for privacy*** but my computer will not accept ac?cept Charter Mail.  I signed up with Microsoft Mail but cannot send or receive mail.  What would my new address be with Microsoft?  How can I update my computer so that I can use my regular Charter account

I can't check my email because of this error. Please advise.

My Charter Size on my emails have suddenly gotten very small. How do I increase the size of the characters again? Thank you.
HELP!  I can receive but not send thru Windows Live Mail.  I've tried everyone I can think of...must be the settings?

This is the error msg I get after I type in user name and password - over and over and over and over.  Phone call to tech support is one BIG JOKE.

I'm helping my family with a new laptop.  I've downloaded the current version of Microsoft Live and have been trying to figure out how to reduce the send/receive interval time.  The directions I find online refer me to a tools item on the menu bar.  There is no Tools item on the menu bar.  I do not think it matters, but they are using charter.net for their email account.

 

How do I change accelerate the sending and receiving of my emails?
