have email address with charter but now use microsoft mail so what is my email address

I have email address as ***Email address removed for privacy*** but my computer will not accept ac?cept Charter Mail.  I signed up with Microsoft Mail but cannot send or receive mail.  What would my new address be with Microsoft?  How can I update my computer so that I can use my regular Charter account
