I have two servers right now syncing mail, contacts and calendars.  I want to stop the syncing for all but the mail from my older account.  Is this possible to do from my end?  Or do I need to contact my former university and have them stop it on their end?

I work at a technical university and I have one mac user who's shared calendar's will not sync. They go to the gray disconnected state and will not longer sync. This happened about a week and a half ago, so I create a new identity and painstakingly moved 20GB of archived mail into mbox format and reimported them into her new identity. 

This held for a week, and now they are disconnected again. Since I cannot delete an re-add the calendars, only remove them from view. How do you propose a force a sync? It took me over 6 hours to everything back up for her and even longer for her to finish re-importing her mail.

What other suggestions can I try since she just called and said the calendars were again disconnected again? Creating a new identity for her is not an option?

Honestly the archived mail is really the issue, our university recently enabled the server side archiving, and OUtlook for Mac would show those folders, then I wouldn't worry about resetting her identity every time she had a problem. However since I can only make a back up of EVERYTHING on the server, not just the folders I choose, so I have to export the folders by drag and drop (since if you export a folder of mail folders, it doesn't export it).

I am open to all suggestions.


You have refused my several requests to gain access to my first mail on hotmail REMOVED BY MODERATOR , I gave you 3 passwords, mails of my friends so as the date of registration. Who could give 3 passwords unless it’s the owner of the mail? I need it especially for my work; it’s been years that I use that mail for all my relations at work, high school and university,   and my social life. I keep getting a message in outlook saying: Character not allowed in mailbox name: '.'    It pops up every few minutes and i can't seem to resolve it, and it is getting really disruptive. It is linked to an IMAP email account i have with my old university set to download into outlook. Does anyone know how i can resolve this?
Hello - I have exactly the same problem. I'm a university tutor and not being able to access my contacts and group emails is extremely frustrating. I too have reported it three times!! Only one response, full of techno-gabble that was of no use to me what so ever.
Hey everyone,

My account was compromised and I guess a lot of e-mail were sent from it. The account is currently blocked and I can't get access to it until I verify it with an e-mail to another account. The problem is that the only account listed is an old university e-mail address that I can't access any more. I've tried e-mailing Microsoft and never get a response. Does anyone have a phone number where I can call to resolve this?
