I have consistently had this same problem since installing Office for Mac 2011.
I should have use the help line when it was free.

Problem: When writing an email in Outlook, I constantly see the spinning wheel in between each key stroke. This spinning wheel caused a latency of from 3 to 10 seconds between each key stroke. It's driving me crazy and I have all but abandoned Outlook for other email programs. I visited the Outlook 2011 Forum but with no solution. I have checked "rules" I have deleted all the caches using "Cocktail". It looks like Outlook is looking for something between or checking for something with each key stroke.
When entering a new contact into Outlook for MAC.  I always have to change the phone settings.  Is there a way to design the card as a default, and then each time I enter a new customer, it don't have to do the changes?
That is a kind of WLM fact since 2009.

I've created 2 differente accounts, with my domain.com and another with hotmail.com.

The only difference between, its hotmail dont have problems with the site (people.live.com), your contacts database. The other domain received always a error "outlook connected" when I dont use outlook and either, in private browsing mode.

The contacts problem: I add 15 contacts or 20, and it only remains 5 on the WLM but online, it means, in the site people.live.com I've it all. I dont understand also why. I've clean the contacts cache on my desktop, install unistall and reinstall WLM 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 and it continues with the same issue.

Microsoft, please report this problem and fix it please.
hi Everyone,

I am using Mac OS X and Outlook 2011 on a MacBook Air and since this morning my outlook freezes when i open it, after about 3-5 seconds. No idea why and nothing i installed yesterday. I have a long and detailed report but it is to long to post here. Hope you can advise!

Thanks.

Before the latest update, I have been able to drag email messages to the desktop in order to place them in appropriate folders for future use. Now I cannot even drag them to folders within Outlook. Why???
I have been using mac mail and now have outlook for mac and want to move my mail to outlook. I have  been able to import my contacts but not my mail
Original Title: Office for Mac 2011 and Google apps account
I just installed Office for Mac 2011 and synced my corporate google apps account into Outlook. When I send an email, after it is sent and in my sent folder, down below next to connected appears "sync pending for this folder" After a few minutes, it appears a second email is sent and in my sent folder. How do rectify this?
Outlook will not open.  “This identity cannot be opened with this version of Outlook” .  Tried rebuild of database.  Updated to 14.0.0.  Updater says I am up to date on all versions.  I had a trial version on my Mac.  I deleted it then installed from disk.

Using Office365, one of my users has mac outlook 2011, windows outlook 2010, and obviously OWA.

She has a distribution group where she's the only member, and she has SendAs privilege (I assigned via powershell). In outlook 2010 and OWA, she specifies the From, selects the distribution list from GAL, and sends. From that point onward, it always appears in the From drop-down.

On Mac Outlook 2011, the From drop-down only lets her specify another account on her computer; doesn't seem to know about any SendAs permission, doesn't seem to give her the ability to SendAs another email address from the GAL.

Is there something we're missing? Or is it just not supported?

We tried waiting a few days, deleting and recreating the account from Mac Outlook 2011, waiting a few more days... Still nothing.
