About three weeks ago I logged on to Hotmail and ended up with an "OUTLOOK" Display. I could see my emails but could not open, send or make the help functions work.  I "could not" open help to request help. I was using IE8. A forum member suggested using Firefox which works.  I access all others Internet Stuff via IE8 and would like to continue doing so. I have seen comments about some type of upgrade/move to Outlook and can not seem to make my account work.  I have a secondary hotmail account that does not. at the present time, have the same problem.  I have a lot of folders in my primary email which I can not access via IE8. I have read of many other users experiencing the same problem and am wondering if it is going to be fixed.
I've got a problem/question about billing which I don't want to discuss in a forum - can I call somebody at hotmail (I'm in the UK)
Hotmail is no longer functioning properly in Safari, and I read in the forum here that Chrome or Firefox, but I can't get those to work, either. Any suggestions, or must I switch providers?

I want to access my contacts so I can send emails without having to open three windows.  On hotmail on the left side was "contacts" which I clicked and my contacts came up.  The only way I've been able to get to "people" on outlook is by clicking on the right side of the screen "manage contacts and check their social updates directly from your inbox".  Please tell me if there is an easier and more direct way.

Also below it tells me to select a "forum".  I don't know which one I should select so I selected "microsoft account, hotmail, skydive".  Is this right?  Then it wants me to select a product which I selected "hotmail".  Is this correct?

Then it wants me to select a top.  I selected "contacts, people and groups".  Is this correct?  Please not I also have difficulty signing in to be able to ask a question.  I was going to address this "sign in" another time.  If you can answer is today, it would be great.

it seems like there is restricted access to my account. i am not able to use windows live mail ( desktop client ) to sign in and read mails the only way i can access it is my going via outlook.com. I am also not able to log in via my android phone, i am using the official hotmail app but with no success

 

when i try to log in via windows live mail i receive the following error :

Server Error: 3206
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00002

perhaps this is useful.

I cant find my outbox in Outlook 2011. I have messages stuck in there and see the solutions on the forum but I need to find the outbox to implement them.
Outlook 2011. Mountain Lion.
When I answer people with the email as text message (no HTML),
sometimes people receive the text with strange characters.
So I have applied the following instruction read in this forum:

"Manually setting the Text Encoding to UTF-8 (Format -> Text Encoding -> Unicode (UTF-8) does indeed "fix" the problem".

BUT, every time I compose e new message I must apply that? Outlook doesn't remember this settings?

Can someone help me out.
Im using the messenger 2012, n since this morning im getting "The following message could not be delivered to all recipients".
I can't send messages.
All my contacts appears offline.
I'm receiving their messages but just cant reply them back.
I have been on the forum, and try of the fix.(1)I have cleared my messenger cache, (2) i did also reinstalled and repair but still not working.
