I absent-mindedly hit the Delete 'X' button next to the Junk folder in the folder list on the left of the WLM window - meant to collapse folders, not delete contents. As this was the Junk folder, deleting messages bypasses the Deleted folder & goes straight to delete messages.

Can I recover these messages, as I hadn't reviewed them, to check that no messages I was meant to receive had been sent to the Junk folder in error?

I have used the "sweep" drop down menu to set rules to specify words in spammers' e-mail addresses which are supposed to cause the spam to be deleted.

The rule doesn't work - the spam shows in the inbox or in the junk mail folder.  Why isn't it deleted like the rule says it's supposed to be?

I deleted a very important folder with a lot of mails i need, is there anyway to recover it?

Even after recievng about 5 emails from facebook in the last 24 hours and over 50 from ebay, when i type 'ebay' in the search box, no results are shown.

I have tried 4-5 different computers and tried to search for different words. No search results found - everytime.

The search feature is totally inactive. Without this I am unable to use the Hotmail account as needed, I need to find old emails which are needed for my everyday work, i can find them.

But what I have tried to figure out  - if I find ONE of them, (From the same sender), then i can click on 'Sweep', and click on 'Move all from...' and make a new folder to get them all moved to. But this would mean I need a folder for each sender, this is not the way forward...

I hope this method helps people temporarily, but right now I need help finding them only emails...

PLEASE HELP.

I am suddenly not receiving emails from some senders with whom I am in very frequent contact.  They are in my contacts list.  Their messages are not in the junk folder.  I have not made any changes to my settings.  I know they are sending the emails but I'm not receiving them. They are not getting non-delivery notices.  Is anyone else having this problem now?  What could be causing this and can I fix it?
I just got a new Mac Brook Pro and have Outlook for Mac 2011. When I drag and drop an email into an archived folder, it makes a copy and leaves the original in my inbox. I then have to delete the email from my inbox and also from my deleted items folder. On my old computer when I would drag and drop an email into the archived folder, it would "move" it there instead of "copy" it there. Is there a setting or preference to make it "move" instead of "copy" when I drag and drop without using keyboard shortcuts?
