I just got a new Mac Brook Pro and have Outlook for Mac 2011. When I drag and drop an email into an archived folder, it makes a copy and leaves the original in my inbox. I then have to delete the email from my inbox and also from my deleted items folder. On my old computer when I would drag and drop an email into the archived folder, it would "move" it there instead of "copy" it there. Is there a setting or preference to make it "move" instead of "copy" when I drag and drop without using keyboard shortcuts?
What has happened to the Hotmail Contact list format?  I now don't seem to have the option to:

a)  switch between a preference for first name/surname and surname/first name

b)  delete/edit a contact

c)  look at an alphabetical grouping - it just starts with 'A'

Many thanks.

Anne

Is there a preference settable on Outlook 2011 to reduce how many parallel operations it attempts across the network?

Thank you.

I recently converted from a PC to a Mac at work, and I want to ask about a calendar view.
On my PC, I could choose whether or not to overlay multiple calendars  or view several calendars (i.e. others on staff) side-by-side, which is my preference or else everything is cluttered and it's hard to distinguish what events belong to which calendar owner..

On my new Mac, I have found that the overlay view is the default and I can't figure out how to change the view so that these calendars are viewed side-by-side.
I'd like to send files without having them automatically zipped and or compressed. Many people I send files to have iPhones or iPads and are unable to open these files until they are sitting in front of a desktop which is not efficient when something needs to be reviewed on the spot. I have checked on line and searched the help bar in Outlook, only to find no preference setting to do so. Is this option even available? PLEASE HELP!?!?
