Is this email from hotmail customer service bogus?

I just recieved an email from "hotmail customer cre(*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) They say  a trojan virus has been detected in my windows live folders and Y should click the reply tab and fill in all my user name, pass word year of birth and country in order for them to upgrade my account with the new secure 1024 bit key anti virus firewall. Is this legitimate. The subject line says, "Email Alert (Verigy Now!!)

 

Is there a way to run Outlook 2011 at startup, so it works just like Apple’s Email App?

I just bought Office for Mac 2011 Business Edition, and plan on using Outlook now instead of the Email App from Apple.  One thing I really liked about it is that it would fetch for new emails at start up, so I would know right away if there were emails waiting for me.  It seems to me that with outlook, I have to click on the icon on the task desktop for it to fetch for new emails.  Is there anyway around this?

Also, does anyone have any insight on when an update for the Retina Display MBP is set to come out for Office?  It seems that outlook has been updated, but word is still blurry.

Any insight will be much appreciated.


using ‘add to dictionary’ option deletes my email.

When I use the' spell check' feature if I click on 'add to dictionary' the entire email is deleted and I cannot retrieve it.  Why is this happening?

This has happened only recently.  If I use the 'ignore 'option the email does not diappear but I used the 'add to dictionary' option freequently and find it irritating to lose my email.

Signature will not change when selecting different account from dropdown menu

When sending a new email, the default email/signature is whatever email is highlighted in the inbox. I used to be able to click the dropdown menu at the top of the 'new email' window, select a different account and my signature would change to whichever email account I selected. Outlook no longer does this and I have to manually redo my signature each time I send an email or highlight a message from my inbox from the account I wish to send from. Is there a setting I can change to fix this? What needs to be tweaked to make it automatically change again? Please help.

Can’t open the options feature on hotmail

When I click on the options tab on my hotmail page, nothing happens.  When I try to switch to another hotmail account on the right side of the page, most of the pane is blank.  How can I fix the page?

 

Is there a way to restore a contact folder in my contacts in outlook for mac 2011?

I have deleted a contact folder, I click on the trash can.  I can not undo it. Is there a way to restore my contacts?

what does: " hotmail live – exceeded the login limit for a 15 minute period. Reduce the frequency of requests to the POP3 server" mean. How do I fix it?

When I click on the send/receive button the message in the title line appears in a little black box..... it appears to be coming from Hotmail live which is what I am trying to use as the POP3 server.

unable to add an e-mail account

Fresh in stall of Outlook for Mac 2011 (fresh install of OSX).  All updates have been applied to both OSX and Office.  When I go into Outlook, edit the accounts and either click on the 'E-mail Account' button or click the '+' then e-mail account nothing happens.  No dialog to add an e-mail account, no error, nothing.  Additionally, I have to force quit Outlook and re-launch.  I've tried to reboot and check the disk to no avail.  The only thin I haven't tried is de-installing/re-installing Office.
