We are rolling out a new Exchange server for a big client. The have mixed PC & Mac computers. We are also switching email domains in the process. The solution is to use profile switching to start fresh with the new server, & keep the old emails separate,
but still functional. We can not do fast user switching, or have a separate user account on the computers for this. To our dismay, Outlook 2011 does not really support this. We are all attached to the same domain, & use AD. Not sure what we can do. Having
both accounts active under one account is not going to wok for us. Does anyone know a 3rd party profile switch, or a work around to have 2 separate accounts under Outlook 2011?
Since Outlook for Mac 2011 did a major update a month ago I have had so much trouble. No syncing will occur. I have deleted identities, deleted all the sync preferences and finally got to the stage where I could actually set SyncServices to allow me to
choose contacts, events etc to sync. But still nothing syncs to ical or Address Book. I have signed out of iCloud as some forums suggested this may be an issue. I am going mad.
I really wish I had never done the update.

Can someone tell me where would I select the option to enter my signature in the following screenshot. I know that I can select in in my options to always send but what if I just want to choose when I want to include it???
I notice when I accept or reject a calendar invite, the body of the message is always deleted. Is there an option where I can retain the body of the message?
I have looked through the many entries on solving the issues with rebuilding the Outlook Database
Do not know what caused the "crash" - Outlook worked fine yesterday - but suddenly a rebuild was required and all went sour from there
- Have tried restore old versions from TimeMachine (several old versions - weeks and months)
- Have tried to create new entity
- Tried copy in Finder etc
Everytime rebuild starts fine with scanning and control - then starts loading fine - almost at the end stops - tries to rebuild - and then abort with a message that the database could not rebuild - same result every time - independant of approach
My db is about 1.8 Gb and I have 60Gb free space on my Mac
Mail system is stand alone (not exchange)
Getting pretty concerned (and tired) after hours of trials without progress
Lucky that I an receieve new mails through my iPhone - but getting stessed of not having access to full Outlook
Any fresh ideas and help is highly appreciated !!

In Outlook 2011 I have my Exchange contacts folder and a public contacts folder. When I switch to Contacts view, the public folder is checked and displays entries. If I uncheck it, go to another view, and then return to the Contacts view, the folder
is checked and opens again. The same thing happens with my Exchange and public Calendar. I would like the public folders to not open automatically, but only when I need them/check them. How do I accomplish this?
With the advent of iCloud, I'm bailing on the Apple side of things. Migrating to Outlook for Mac in all respects.
However, I cannot get iCal to sync to Outlook (and therefore, to iPhone, etc.). Running 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and can't find if that's the problem. I turn on sync services and do the whole thing but it gives no error, etc. Just nothing populates in the Outlook
Calendar. My iPhone and iCal sync fine, it's getting the events into Outlook that's the problem.
What am I missing here, anyone?
Thank you!
