Can I have a place to put my Favorite folders? I used this feature all the time in Ent 2008, and would be bummed if it weren't in 2011.
Is there way to customize Outlook for Macintosh 2011 so that it displays in a smart folder at start up?
I know this option is available in the WIndows version.

We recently Upgraded from Entourage 2008 to Outlook for Mac 2011. Migration went fine for all 50 users. I went to replace one users mac and the new mac gives this error. I have noticed 2 other desktops I just setup are also giving this error. No laptops
I just setup are giving this error. All macs use the same image regardless if they are a laptop or desktop.
I found in another thread on here to uncheck use SSL. Everyone has this checked.
I also found something server side. If it was server side wouldn't everyone be having this issue?
I'm puzzled.

In Entourage 2008 when I viewed a folder using Show in Groups, I could select a heading (Today, Yesterday, etc.) and it would select all the emails in that heading. This was very useful. Why isn't this feature included in Outlook?
With Entouage, it would tell you if you have a contact already. It seems Outlook just goes ahead and makes a new contact even if that email is already in contacts. Is this correct?
I installed the 14.2.3 Office update. It installed fine and is running without error. However, when I check my console, I am getting a regular error posting from 'com.microsoft.SyncServicesAgent' claiming that the file it is trying to use isn't found.
That is correct because it is trying to use a test identity I created while trying to undo a failed installation Office 14.2.0, I have checked .plist files and can find no place where this identity is listed.
How can I get SyncServices to stop looking for this identity?

I'm having this same problem of not being able to receive email via Outlook. I've spent considerable time with my ISP and it appears the configurations are correct. I've reviewed the threads and have followed these steps but I'm still getting the 5.7.1
authentication error. My ISP indicates that the 2011 version is not supported by them so I'm stuck. How can I resolve this problem.
The incoming server works fine but the outgoing server does not. I've followed my ISP's instructions including overriding the default port and manually including the specified number. I've triple checked my entries more than I care to admit.
Would appeciate any guidance.
Thanks much. John
