livemail locked up. still downloading a message after 3 days. control/alt/delete doesn't kill the download . How do I kill it and get back on my email
Don't want to sound like an idiot, BUT I was told to download windows live, I did and then was advisesd to configure it, then sync it. Look I'm 63 and although not a dummy with computers, I haven't been around them for 7 yrs. I did look to see if I could
figure it out but cannot, how do I do all that? I just want to download some emails to my computer. Why is everything so hard with "new, better and improved" stuff. :(
Since installing windows 8, many of my incoming and outgoing emails show up in the wrong folders and some in two folders. Help would be appreciated
I'm using English (UK) as default language. Somehow, a few of the default spellings have been changed, and I can find no way to modify them. An example, i often type "i" when I mean to type a capital "i", and then have to go through the message and correct each one individually, as they are not picked up.
Can I change the default spellings so that it highlights this, or automatically changes them?
Also, when I type my christian name without a capital letter it does not highlight this. Same issue, I'm sure.
Can I make any changes to default spellings, and if so how?

New install last week on Windows 8 - new PC Live Mail 2012 worked 1 day then when I click link to Live Mail ( 3 different icons) I see message "checking for new messages - names for my wife and I. Pop up on screen said executing for over 24 hours and
we could not get into it so tried using Task Mgr to End process and even tried re downloading but the process seems to be stuck and no known way to get it fixed.
How can I fix this problem?

had 64 contacts in my Windows Live mail account....all but the last four added just disappeared...don't know why and don't know how to get them back
I can add a contact in Windows Live Mail, but the only way to see the Contacts is to set up a new Email and click on "To...". I can Edit a Contact there in the list that comes up, but I cannot delete one. I want to backup my Windows Live Mail contacts and Emails, but cannot figure out what directory they are stored in. Where does Windows Live Mail store its Contacts and Emails? It doesn't store them in the Windows 7 CONTACTS directory, and it doesn't seem to be able to access that directory to use contact info stored there - response to "look in contact directories" Lets you Choose ACTIVE DIRECTORY and VERIZON INTERNET DIRECTORY but neither can be accessed.
