I posted an alternative email address, as requested, and have been sent back a link to reset my password. Great, you would think, how easy - NOT. For the last 2 days i have got this message when i click into the link
"There's a temporary problem, There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later.".
I have now set up another hotmail account (this one) so that I can use this forum. BUT I need to get back into my other email address as everything is saved in there. When will the link work? I have important documents on there that I need to access. This is a nightmare and I feel that you're not doing anything to help. I presume you will be able to pick up my hacked EMail address? If not what do I do? frustrated is an under estimation
I've been trying to acess my hotmail and the Password and security questions are not working I even filled out a form to verify my idenitey and they said it couldn't be verified is there sombody I can call or any way to retrieve a rest password? I had

I created a hotmail account before MS aquiring the company and had a password that worked. Recently with Live login, I had to change password. The phone number has changed and as a result I created a 2nd acct for hotmail to send me reset password instructions. In the long questionnaire, I responded to as much as I could remember. I even entered old password that worked fine and secret question and I still get denied.
Is it because hotmail has deleted the account and this is thier way of saying you are denied?
I need someone to email me and explain. I have too much information stored on my email folders and need to recover it. Obviously my second account has my name and info, so I can't be fake. At some point you have to belive the person is genuine if security question and old password is answered.
my 2nd account is <removed by the moderator> or you can also reply to <removed by the moderator> which I believe was my alternate email.

I cannot log into my hotmail account, I can log on from other computers running XP in my office just not this one, I am running Windows 7, IE 8.
I get the login window for hotmail and enter my details and password, when pressing enter it just comes back with the login page and the boxes empty.
I have tried disabling many of the addons to no avail. My blackberry is getting the emails so no problem with the account.
I cannot believe that a microsoft computer and microsoft browser cannot loginto a microsoft site.

I have a couple of different Windows Live accounts, which I use for both email (Hotmail) and messenger. On one of these accounts I can no longer sign into messenger via Windows Live. Regardless of the password that is entered, Windows Live goes through
the normal process of loading my account, but stays at the starting up part. When this happens the computer freezes and nothing else will load. This only happens with one account, other accounts load up and run properly.
Since last week we have issues with the sync between Outlook 2011 and Exchange 2010. When starting the application it works just fine and downloads the mails but after the download the users has to re-enter their logon credentials. Outlook will not accept
the entered username and password and the user will not be able to send or receive mails.
But, if they change the password in the account settings instead it will work for a short while but after the mail box has been synced the logon dialog box appears again and the password is not accepted.
Most of the users are running on Mountain Lion and the 14.2.3 version of Outlook. Our Exchange server is Exchange 2010. The problem occured last monday, september 10th. No changes has been made in the Exchange server for the past two weeks.
Another thing, a user tried to reinstall Office and first uninstalled it. Now, when he tries to install Office for Mac 2011 on his Mountain Lion he receives the following message:
Microsoft Outlook can not be opened because of a problem. Contact the developer so that you are sure that Microsoft Outlook works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the software. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X.

I have been sent a warning that if I don't give you my user name and password, my account will be deleted. I feel that this is unfair and not right to delete an account if you don't have my private password. That is suppose to be for my protection. Right?
