Hi,

I've created a IMAP account for Gmail in MS outlook and wish to use the same with the following customisation:

1. Map the send and delivery to a specific PST file (rather than the most recent auto-generated one)

2. Move/ copy or create a fresh set of Contacts, journal, claendar, tasks, feeds and all supplementary folders/ features associated with MS outlook to this Gmail account.

3. On the navigation pane, set/ move the Gmail PST as the primary folder list

4. Close the default Outlook PST file after completing the above.

I tried the existing help feature in MS outlook, however, some of these have not been addressed.

Could you please help with the above.

Many thanks and with regards,

Dear sirs,
I am using calendar software (VueMinder Pro), via Windows 7, that can send an e-mail reminder to MS Outlook via SMTP. I do
already have an MS Outlook account. I would like to configure my account, via an SMTP user name and password, so that the
e-mail reminders are sent to my account. What are the basic steps?

I have MS Outlook MAC 2011 V 14.2.5.  I have 3 email accounts set up in Outlook - 1 Gmail and the other 2 Go Daddy.  I recently set up my accounts via Outlook.  The gmail account works fine, but the 2 Go Daddy accounts do not.  I am able to receive emails, but not send them.  Emails get stuck in my outbox and return a response "Authentication failed - user name and password or security settings incorrect".  I tried troubleshooting it through Go Daddy and I am told my settings are correct.  They are claiming everything is fine on both my and their end.  I also set up the accounts on my iPhone and all 3 work perfectly.  And, I tried deleting the accounts, shutting down/rebooting my computer and re-establishing the accounts.  Still the same issue. Can you help?
I am running Apple Mountain Lion OS and would like to use Outlook as my default programs for mail, calendar and contacts.  Is there a way to import the contacts and calendar data?
After I deleted a bunch of old emails in MS Outlook 2011 for Mac all my Contacts disappeared and most of my Calendar appts,  Email was OK.  Tried rebuilding the DB but it failed with error 18000.  Tried restoring DBs from Time Machine - but all DB rebuilds fail with error 18000.  What can I do?  My DB is 1.5 GB and I have 35 GB of free space on my MBA.  This sucks.   I see that a bunch of other people have had similar issues - sounds like a software problem.
Basically how now how to have one contact mapped in Bing Maps but I do not know how to have for example two contacts mapped on Bing Maps.
Hi,

I recently had a crash of my MacBook Pro and had to format and reinstall all of the applications. Fortunately I had a backup disc of all of the Data including the Microsoft User Data Folder in Documents. I now want to import all of my old emails back into Outlook 2011. Kindly help me with the steps to complete the recovery of emails into Outlook.

Regards,
Sri
Hi,

I have read many community websites on suggesting how to take my mails from Outlook Mac to MS Outlook. Many says import you OLM file and then a 3rd party software to convert OLM to PST. I have checked many 3rd party software all are paid.
Some also suggest to drag all the mails to desktop folder and then to MS Outlook 2010. I have got 4 mail accounts configured to Mac Outlook with over 8000 mails saved in 30 folder.  (this is after i have cleaned my mailbox for unwanted mails)

If i can transfer my PST to Mac Outlook without paying a penny, i am sure there has to a be a way to do so for Mac outlook to MS Outlook 2010.

Please suggest a simple way to shift from Mac Outlook to MS Outlook 2010.

I was very excited to get MS Office specifically OUTLOOK for Mac, as i use MS office at my work place and i could use same functionality and ease of use at home, but i was very disappointed when i found out that following key features were missing from Ms OUTLOOK for Mac version and i wonder why Microsoft changed these key features which make MS office /outlook popular alternative to other similar softwares:-

1. In MS WINDOWS Outlook before sending email we could configure automatic spell check by selecting (ALWAYS CHECK SPELLING BEFORE SENDING) which is missing in MAC version.

2. After drafting email it is not possible to place in OUTBOX to send only when i SEND/RECEIVE as was possible in MS OFFICE for windows by unselecting (SEND immd when connected) so email was stored in Outbox whereas in MAC OUTLOOK email goes immd which means i cant review email again before sending.

3. I have several email a/cs and in MS Office for windows i could send email from any of the a/c without it showing my default a/c where as in MAC office when i send email from a different pop a/c it shows in from the name of a/c and as well sent by default a/c name, which is not good as the purpose of sending email from different a/c (personal) a/c is defeated as it shows my work email also as sender.

4. The signatures of different email a/cs don't appear by default when composing new email for a particular email a/c, which was possible in MS office and was a great feature.

5. font and size of all incoming email cant be fixed so it is easy to view.

6. Not possible re call send email.

I would request Microsoft add above features in MS office or as additional plug in as these are features which MS office so great.

Also in XLS the key board shortcuts for formating like wrap text and merge cells are missing.

Bug in SP1 of Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac - Service Pack 1?

I am running MS Outlook 2011 for Mac (version 14.2.2 (120421)) on a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.6.8. I only use Outlook for my email.

After installing SP1 for Outlook, all my calendars disappeared from iCal and from my iPhone! I still had them on my iPad which was not yet synchronized, so I added them manually back to iCal, including all my future appointments. Then I synchronized my MacBook with iPad and my iPhone. This deleted my calendar history on the iPad but at least the future appointments were back again. I ensured that a good backup was present on my Time Machine.

A few days later I noticed that all calendars had disappeared again from iCal and from my iPhone! Then I discovered that Outlook had imported the new calendars from iCal and apparently deleted them in Cal, along with the old appointments. I turned on Sync Services to bring them back to iCal. That worked: the calendars were copied back to iCal.

When I tried to synchronize my data with my iPhone, I got the following error message: "iTunes could not sync information to the iPhone (...) because another sync client is already running" .

I then turned off Sync Services in MS Outlook 2011 for Mac and restarted my MacBook. I could synchronize my data with my iPhone again, but... Outlook had again deleted my calendars from iCal!

Restoring my backup did not solve the problem. I can either synchronize while Outlook deletes my calendars or keep my calendars and not synchronize.

How can I stop Outlook from deleting my iCal calendars?
