Hi Outlook just flashes with the logo in the middle of the screen and disappears. Using Outlook Mac 2011 under Office Home 365 license.  Word, Excell and Powerpoint seem to work fine.
I (like others) support Outlook Mac for a decent size community. We have a lot of OS switchers who complain about the lack of side-by-side view. I've submitted the feedback years back to Microsoft, and I hope it's included in the next release. Calendaring is an important part of what people use Outlook for. It'd be great to hear if that's going to be included in the next version so we can do a little marketing before the release.

Hello, I have a problem with my new Mac. I am trying to configure my exchange mailbox on my Mac but I keep getting the same error.

This is what I have done:

- configured Apple Mail to our exchange server settings (this works; the email, calender etc is retrieved)

- access the OWA via the internal .local domain and the external URL (this works)

- tried to use the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer and using our OWA url this all works fine (I cant test the .local url since this is an internal domain)

- configure the server address (the .local domain) in outlook and this doesnt work. I keep getting the -18597 error.

- I have turned on outlook error logging and this displays a 403 error

We use exchange 2010 SP3 and Mac office 2011.

I find it very strange that OWA works, Apple mail works but outlook doesnt

I have read many posts before on using a different NTP time server and changing the computer name of my Mac but this didnt work.

Anyone any idea?

Thanks, Bart

Hi all,

I'm using  Mavericks OS X 10.9 (13A603). Due to various reasons, I need to use Apple Mail to access my work's Exchange account. Tried to use the Apple Mail Exchange client, but it refused to display my company email signature on any email client other than Outlook Windows 2013. I also found that this would not allow me to create folders correctly, so I reverted to IMAP access and this is now handling my signature and folders correctly apart from one issue.

Moving an email from my inbox to an Exchange folder puts a copy of that message into the folder, and removes it from the IMAP inbox list, however, when I go to webmail or Outlook Mac or Outlook Windows, the message is still in the Inbox. I've allowed it up to three days to update and correctly show an empty inbox, but it doesn't happen. Although the IMAP inbox shows no messages, the Exchange Outlook inbox keeps the messages.

A) Email arrives in my Exchange hosted, but IMAP client accessed inbox in Apple Mail Version 7.0 (1822).
B) I move the message from the inbox to an Exchange folder, also using IMAP.
C) Apple Mail shows an empty inbox, signifying that it's been removed from the inbox.
D) The message is correctly located in the folder on both the IMAP representation and if I go into the webmail access portal or open Outlook Mac.
E) However, when I try to view my Exchange inbox via Outlook Mac or PC, or webmail, the inbox is still showing those messages as if they weren't moved.

There's a thread on the Apple Community (https://discussions.apple.com/message/20428894#20428894) where others are also experiencing the same issue with no resolutions being offered by the community so I decided to post a message about the issue here hoping that someone here may know of a solution.

Thanks!

Hi.  Up until the recent OS upgrade for my Mac Air, I was happily able to sync (via cable) my Outlook Calendar and Contacts quite happily (via iTunes).  However, now I can't get anything to sync, and Apple support claim it's down to MS.  I'm then forced to use their iCloud which I don't want.

Does anyone have a fix for this?

Office Mac 14.3.8
OSX 10.9 Mavericks

After upgrading to Mavericks a few days ago, Outlook Mac keeps downloading already downloaded messages from Yahoo email account.  Its set up as POP according to the recent changes advised by Yahoo (4-5 weeks ago).

Advanced settings on the account are for mail to be left on the server for 1 week, then deleted (so it can also be downloaded to my iPad and iPhone).

Any ideas??

I exported all old emails and files from Outlook Mac 2011 into .olm document. Ticked the box do not delete emails however everything is erased and when I go to import the data only folder names come up! Please Help!
Hi,

Please do help me on How to do the mentioned below queries,

  1. Is there any possibility to create a custom Dropdown Button in Compose Mail form of Outlook Mac 2011?. I came to know that Outlook Mac doesn't support ad-ins, also provide support of AppleScript to add functionality but I am not sure on How to customize the form.

2.How to import/load .cfg file in outlook Mac?

Thanks & Regards,
Abhi S
If i select a group of emails and transfer them to folders created for projects in my Exchange account they often loose their date and acquire a new one (maybe the transfer date).  This means that i can't track when they were sent / received and this is important for both finding them again and determining when they were sent. Others in the office are using Outlook Windows with no problem. Is anyone else having this problem?  Is there a way of fixing it to restore the correct dates and ensure it stops ocurring?
I am not having problems receiving but cannot the majority of my emails stay in my outbox from my Yahoo mail account.  I receive an error message: connection to server failed or dropped.  This only happens with Yahoo mail and at times it will go thru.  I have Mac 2011.  Please help
