How do I update Windows Live Mail in a simple way?

I installed WLM when Windows 7 first came out. I have version 14.0.8089.0726.

It seems that there have been several updates since. I have run Windows updates and it seems everything is up to date. But it does not seem to update WLM.

I do have a Microsoft account and do have Outlook.com installed (just as a trial), but I still want WLM to be my main email client. I have no need for Windows Live Essentials (I don't really know much about it, but I don't want messenger or any more stuff!)

Is there a simple update for WLM that will just perform the update without me having to reinstall or worry about losing my emails and account setups?

Reading the other posts it all seems so complex and convoluted. Maybe I should install Thunderbird or some other stand alone email client?

Microsoft word keeps on opening when I press inbox in messenger live

Recently, everytime I click on 'Inbox' at messenger live, it links me to microsoft word and it wants me to sign in.

How can I fix this problem?

I have erased and reinstalled messenger live but it still acts the same.

Can I change the folder to save messages?

I am using Outlook 2011 for Mac and would like to add my Window Live email account to my mailbox in outlook. Once added, I can receive my email in outlook but am unable to send outgoing mail through outlook - the error that comes up is saying 'The server does not support secure connections'. I have configured the SMTP with "25" as it is suggested I do by Microsoft but I know this setting is optimized for Outlook Express. How do I get this working correctly allowing me to use outlook for all my email accounts?

My Microsoft account does not exist, how can i access it again?

Microsoft Threats to Close My Hotmail Account.

I am constantly being asked to update my hotmail account details and threatened with account closure if I do not comply.Today I have idenification of the hotmail address the email came from today. It asks for all details including my password and identifies as Microsoft 2012 at the bottom of the page. Is there a new policy for Hotmail or is this SPAM. If so why are they not being filtered to JUNK???

My computer crashed; it was cleaned using F11 to "new from the factory" condition. How do I get my Hotmail Plus account back onto my computer?

When I never received an answer to my question, I just went into Microsoft billing and cancelled my Hotmail Plus account. As for details, it doesn't get any simpler than "I would like to know how to get my Hotmail Plus account back on to my computer."

DartyBox Hotmail n'a pas pu effectuer cette opération. Microsoft vous contactera peut-être à propos des erreurs que vous signalez. Si ce message continue de s’afficher, allez à État du service pour vérifier si DartyBox Hotmail connaît un problème.

Dartybox Hotmail ne connait pas de problème, que dois-je faire ?

My contacts are "offline," but I know they’re available. They can see me, why can’t I see them?

I have one contact on Messenger, linked with her Facebook, Twitter, and Microsoft Account. Whether I try to message her on my Windows Phone, Surface, or Windows 8 desktop, she appears offline, but I know she is available. She can see me as being available on her Windows Phone, and when she messages me, my phone suddenly sees that she is available, but only for about ten minutes. Her status then returns to "offline."

I have deleted her from my contacts and re-added her. I have synced my Account on my phone, and also gave her permission to see my details under Contacts via Outlook.com. Her status is available, and so is mine.

Am I being billed for usuing Outlook??:((((

I went thru the options, looking for Time zone and noticed Billing. Microsoft wanted me to type in my phone number, using a code.

Am I being billed for using Outlook?? If so, not a happy camper about this:(( I'd rather continue grief with Hotmail.
