I want to setup a non-profit I support with Outlook.com's custom domains, but, our website uses CDO's to send emails to people when they register for events.  I didn't want to risk messing up the email systems, so I bought a domain and got it setup with Outlook.com.  My question is, what smtp server do I use?  I turned on POP access to the account and when I went through the help on how to setup apps using POP it provided an SMTP address of:
smtp-mail.outlook.com

The ports, SSL, etc... are all setup correctly.  But, when the webpage that is trying to send an email through this SMTP address runs, I get the error '80040211' which means there was a problem with the SMTP server.

Is there a way to use CDO to send emails from this website through our custom domain outlook.com?

Thanks!
I've just received the very suspicious email here below.
(I ma posting here w/o graphics AND hiding the Unique ID):

Is this a genuine email from Microsoft? Should I click on the link provided?
If that's a forged email, not genuine, better to stay away.

But I NEVER made any request of password reset. So, what should I do?

BUG: I like Outlook.com's feature of posting to a friend's FB wall without logging on to FB. However I see a bug in the implementation. If the user has opted not to have other's WRITE on their wall it always throws the error message 'An error occured'.

What I expect? Actually it is Outlook.com's responsibility to hide the textbox 'Post to Wall' or at least make it grayed out with a tool tip that 'The user has not opted to be messaged through their wall'.

Technical Solution:
Outlook.com should check the can_post value in the FQL before the profile page is rendered. FQL reference is below: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/fql/user/

When I sign into outlook.com I would like to see my calendar first, instead of my Inbox.  How do I set up my outlook.com account to do that?

Trying to make "Outlook.com" my default mail.  When I open Outlook.com I notice at the top of the page that "live.com" is showing. When I go to the default page to choose my mail default there is no "Windows Live" or "Live.com" or any mail name listed in the program list for me to select.  Do I need to download "Windows Live" or another program name so I can choose "Outlook.com" for my e-mail "default".  I apologize for being so dense but I  really do need some help with this.  I have been searching  everywhere for an answer.

How do I get my contacts back?  I switched over to Outlook this past weekend and lost my contacts.  I have been a hotmail user since hotmail was launched.  This is very disheartening.  I do like the new format, but without my contacts the sevice is useless.

Using Win7, 64 bit, HP Photosmart C6515 printer, I cannot correctly print anything from outlook.com. The printed page comes out with all my folders listed on left side of page; the message printed lengthwise down right side of page; all the selections of outlook printed across top of page.

How do I print a "proper" page(s) from outlook.com?

TIA
