I can not open(sign in on) my messenger, i got the error code 80040154. What can i do?
I keep getting the Error Code 800488eb in Windows Live Messenger.  
about every 2 - 5 minutes I get this error code and it hangs my email for about 30 sec each time.  Any way to clear the error??

how to retreive hotmail password when one cannot remember the answers to all the questions...i have many photos in my hotmail account that i need to retreive..i have failed the validation process twice.  i do not have an xbox live account and not sure about some of the answers relating to state and post code as my daughter set up the account a few years ago. 

i have tried to use the security code option but as my daughter set up the account i do not know what phone number she used and she doesnt remember either.  i have put my mobile phone number in but did not receive the code.  i have also tried sending the password reset to the email addresses attached to the account but dont know whose they are as my daughter set up the account and she doesnt remember either or they dont exist anymore.
the photos and contacts are the most important to me...if you could please just
i am using my computer technicians account to contact you as i cannot sign into my own email..they are from format c computers and are friends of my daughter. you can send any information to her as she is still helping me, her name is janine howe.

I wrote this question before and I had one reply from Forum Moderator Judith C. and I still can not recover our e-mail account at Hotmail.

As of the weekend of Saturday the 10th of November 2012 we have been unable to access our company email account. The reason suggested
was that some unauthorized activity was suspected. We have tried on several occasions to regain entry supplying as much information as was
requested and still have been unable to pass the verification process. This issue had also occurred about a month earlier, though on that occasion
we were successful in gaining access. What is concerning is that in the initial stages of the validation process we were prompted to accept a code
sent to an alternative email. The alternative email we originally provided was h1....@hotmail.com yet the email we were prompted to use began
hi.... @hotmail.com It is for this reason that we had not accepted to gain a code via email.
This is main problem is that somebody put to our account e-mail the additional alternative e-mail address hi.... @hotmail.com
Also we have used your links which were sent to two addresses (why ???should be only one!), one of which we do not use
or recognize in order to reset our password. When we try to log in, using the new password, the page that opens still says that 'it looks like
someone else is trying to access your account' and then reverts us back to the page where we are asked 'do we want an email sent'.
The only alternative email which is offered for send re-set code is not one we recognize h1....@hotmail.com (our e-mail) only
the hi.... @hotmail.com - this email is not used by us.

Please could you help us, this is our company e-mail address with all very important information for us.

Are main concern in all this is that we have a number of client contacts stored in that account along with several personal emails.
We are happy to provide additional information such as content of received emails or content of folders..although we can not be expected
to know all of the hundreds of those stored. You are welcome to look into the folder Companies House and you will see details of our company
number. You will also note that our company information is listed in the signature at the foot of each sent email.


I cannot get  my live.com email account to open up.  I have tried to reset with new password, have code send to my phone, enter code and have ve for about 12 hrs. get an error message at this stage, saying  come back and try again - problem with system.  Are others having this problem?

I hope someone can help.

I keep having the error message pop up This message is too big and can not be appended. Error Code 1025.
The error is happening every few seconds.

I ran an Office update the other morning, and ever since i keep getting this message.
There are no emails in the outbox. I can still send and receive with no problems.
I've cleared all emails that i sent and received around the time i ran the update, and i've rebuilt the database.
But I keep getting the same error message.

I'm also now getting duplicate emails in the deleted items folder. If i delete a message before the mailbox updates properly it downloads the email again as unread but puts it in the delete items.

It's connecting to an exchange account, but via IMAP as it's old exchange. I've been using it for over 6 months without any problems.

What else can i do to clear this? Is there anyway of finding out what message is causing the problem?

I've tried reinstall, changing date and time and nothing helps.
Currently, date and time are synchronized with time.windows.com
