I am making a video using some 100 slides all shot in high definition on a new Nikon D5100 at highest quality setting.

Initially tried to preview project on my computer, and wide screen setting played all right. Tried again after adding music and each shot flickered/blurred. Regular screen plays fine. I have never had such a problem with using wide screen HD video slideshows of my photos in some 25 YouTube posts (using the OneTrueMedia program) so I know it is not the definition of the photos or my desk top or my monitor.

To top everything off, when I hit save for the video, it dumped all my transitions panning and zoom settings carefully set photo by photo. I am not very impressed!

I have been sorting my photos within each folder by caption or filename.  Somehow I accidentally made my photos within folders sort by file size.  This is interesting, but now I want to sort a different way, preferably by caption or filename.  How do I get rid of this kind of sort (I"ve tried clicking on "file size."

I recently updated to  Windows 8.1. from XP and now use Photo Gallery but have to say I, like many others, wish we could go back to the simplicity of XP.

I edited a number of photographs in Photo Gallery and duly saved the alterations.  However when I now go into the folder the format of some of the edited photos has changed - they appear to have been "thinified" -  and the only way I can see the photo as it should be is by hovering  on the "black & white" box in the Edit format and photo goes back to 'normal'.   However, having then closed down the folder the 'corrupted' format then re-appears when next opened.  It does not happen with all photos.  What have I done and how can I cure this?

Some photos I upload from my Iphone5 are upside down. When I click the icon to rotate them it pop out a window saying that the photo can't be saved because of a problem with the photo's file properties. Any help?

Windows Live PG comes back with that suggestion when there is nothing in a folder in PG, but doesn't tell you HOW to "search for all photos and videos".   In fact, I see no "search" function or button for photos and videos - only a "text search" function.

Nice of Windows to suggest you do something, but then not provide you the means to do it, or explain HOW to do it.    If this is a function you do in, say, "Windows Explorer" then it should say so - but it doesn't provide any detail other than to say, " "Try Searching for All Photos and Videos".

This is why people hate Microsoft.

Hello, I am having the same problem that a previous gentleman was having named Jim Shepard posted on your site on 07/27/12. When I email or send tagged photos to a CD, they always come out without the tags on them. I did exactly what your post suggested to do, by clicking file, options, publish, and making the appropiate setting, but to no avail. I use Avast as my security program and Windows 7 as my OS. The Photo Gallery program is of no use to me if I can't email or send tagged photos to other media. I notice that there are others out there from similar blogs who are having the same problem. Any suggestions or guidance you may provide would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Tom

We all take photos in both landscape and portrait modes. Photogallery has the tools to rotate the images, but there is a catch. If you select multiple images to rotate, it works OK. If the number of photos exceeds a screenful, you need to deselect the images just rotated before proceeding to the next  screen and selecting more piccies to rotate. if you don't do this, previously rotated images will be rotated again.

There ought to be an option to automatically deselect each image after rotation.

I have WLM version 2012 on Windows 7.  When I receive and/or forward some photos, they appear in slide form in the text of the message instead of the actual photo.  Don't know why this happens, but I don't like it.  Is there anything I can do to change this?

I have transferred my photos to my computer and and trying to write a title to the group for a folder. When I go to look at photos I see some and the others are not able to view, they are covered with a generic landscape picture . Is there really a picture behind this or not? How do I tell? Why are there spaces as if pictures are there but aren't able to view?
