It has worked fine for years but about 3 months ago it stopped working on my phone. It works ok on my lap-top it is just my phone that cannot receive or send on the Live account. I have tried to re-install the Live account on the phone to no avail as it

I have a hotmail account that is compromised and sending spam. I created a new live.com email, and would like to cancel my hotmail account. Also, I'm not sure if my hotmail account is associated with my Live ID, or if it's been transferred to my new email.
Any help you could provide would be appreciated.
I have seen news reports and received emails saying that live or hotmail accounts need to be converted to skype accounts. Is this true? If so will I loose my email address?
