All of a sudden I have 3500 emails.  Last week I had a trojan horse (Chase Bank). But it was dismissed.  Have I been hacked?  If so, what do I do next?

Outlook express suddenly took over my e-mail account, forced junk adds also, i want it all gone, help please

My hotmail live.com email suddenly went to Outlook Express  - I do not want Outlook, and I do not want the "suggested adds" section that accompanies this.  I believe this happened when Chase Bank online started up for me today, and without informing me also connected to my cellphone.  I do not want tech clutter, and try to keep a clean system with only what I choose to use.
