I am running Microsoft Office for Mac Home and business 2011. This morning I noticed that my tasks folder was empty. I decided to quit outlook and restart it in the hope that my tasks would reappear. Instead when I right clicked on the outlook icon on my desktop and hit quit, the icon disappeared all together. I then went to finder and searched for outlook. When it came up, I clicked on it and it brought up outlook, but it is a brand spanking new outlook without any of my sent items, inbox items, my contacts, my tasks, my sub-folders or my deleted items. Help!!! I am devastated, particularly by the loss of all my contacts.
Has anyone heard anything about an new version of Office for Mac?  Hopefully the development team is working on a new version that provides full functionality for us mac users.  I am tired of the "dummied down" version that Microsoft provided in Office for Mac:2011.
Today i haven sent an email which does not show up in the sent mails folder. The recipient did receive the email, so it was sent.
It`s on a MAC, Office for mac, newest version. It`s configured as POP3 over Forpsi.

No filters, no tricks etc. This happaende already earlier but i never had the chance to verify this until today...

Thanks for any support.

I've been using Outlook for Mac 2011  with no problem,  I just noticed that some people weren't responding to emails. I checked my outbox. The mail hadn't been sent., I tried to send the mail by opening and then clicking send. Nope.

I notice now that I can send only email from my gmail account. I use 2 other email servers,

The error  codes are 3176 or 17092.

Remember, this worked fine until now.

Apple Mail and Thunderbird do not have this problem on this same computer.

I use IMAP and need to keep sent messages on the server,

Outlook works ok on my laptop,

HELP!
About a year ago I tried to get Syncing to work on Outlook 2011 because I really like it.  I like the look Calendar and I like the way the it creates different Calendars (with colours) for each catagory on my iPhone.

What I don't like is the way my Addresses in Outlook are duplicated, erased, added to randomly etc in Outlook.  It makes it useless.

Since it was the holiday season, I decided to spend on day on this.  I even exported an OLM fine for back up.  That didn't work because I got a message saying that I quit the restore, which I didn't.  So I deleted my 2011 identity and went back to Entourage which works fine.

Then I thought that since I don't really care if Outlook syncs to the Apple Contacts or iCloud (which it does flawlessly), can I just use iTunes and ignore the syncing stuff?  Who knows, I might just try it again.

Thanks
Have a Mac tower and Notebook, both OS 10.6.8_  Have been using Outlook on Notebook for 2 types of accounts and need both on the tower.  Just now finally installed Outlook on the tower.   Set up Exchange and one account (pop) works after import but need mail account on Exchange for work.  Error alert says "Unexpected data was encountered" when installed Outlook on Mac Tower and tried to get mail.  I have a backup on an external drive from Notebook that has been working.  Where to find Data to "import" to new setup?
Outlook 2011
Exchange Server 2007 has been set by Administrator to 50mb attachment size.

We are able to send large attachments when accessing Exchange Mail via the web, BUT unable to send the same attachment message from Outlook 2011 via the same Exchange account.

How do I configure Outlook 2011 to allow larger attachment sending?

why is contact-group inactive?

why can't I attach document to my calender-meetings in Outlook Mac-version ?

both functions works in the windows version

I access older emails frequently. Outlook only downloads the headers.  This means I can't access emails or the attachements offline.  And it means that in my freqently opening of older emails i must wait while they are download.  Is it possible to set Outlook to download the body of all my old emails?
